Dinobot Swoop Dinobot Swoop

We close out Deluxe wave 1 of Power of The Primes with perhaps the best figure from it: Swoop! While hardly a stranger to updates in various forms, this Swoop really stands out for doing a lot of things right as a standalone toy. While there are some plastic tolerances that don't quite work, that mainly presents in the combiner modes and so can be largely ignored if you choose. For me, Swoop was a surprise hit in an assortment I expected to be completely underwhelmed by. Sometimes it's nice to be proven wrong. It's that time again! The first Power of the Primes Deluxes are hitting now at certain Target stores, and so it's time to take a look at what exactly we're getting. Short version: Dinobots, Jazz, half of a G1 Powermaster power couple, and Combiners are back. Keep reading for what's in the wave!

We're getting numerous reports of collectors getting shipping on the Wave 3 Titan Masters from online retailers! Who's in this wave, what are their vehicles like, who's an homage to a super-obscure Japan-only toy, and does a Dinobot by any other name smell as Swoop? Keep reading for the lowdown!

Just out are new color images of the CGCreations SRK-04 Blade action figure that will be released as part of their Suraking line. The homage to the Transformers Dinobots team not Swoop figure is shown in full colors in his robot and alternate modes along with a good look at his weapon accessories. This video contains transformation and combining of both the dinosaur and rescue vehicle teams. Also, the T-Rex's name isn't Shura King, it's Ba Wang Long. The dinosaur combiner is named Shura King. These have been a long time in the making, but just out are new TFC Toys Star Q Dinobotsaur Combiner animated video previews showing off all five of their figures and their transformation sequences. Get a look at previews for the Shura King (Not Grimlock), Pteranodon (not Dinobot Swoop), Brontosaurus (not Dinobot Sludge), Triceratops (not Dinobot Slag), and Stegasaurus (not Dinobot Snarl). Bullsfire have released a new image of their Masterpiece style Swoop inspired figure, Air Strike. Get a look at the beast mode of the homage to the G1 Dinobot Swoop character. He is 8 inches tall with an 18 inch wingspan that is said to be scaled to go with MP-08 Grimlock, not the modern MP-10 figure scale. Check out the beast mode image now.

UK retailer Play.com has unveiled the pre-order exclusive downloadable content (DLC) as Dinobot Swoop for multiplayer gameplay. Pre-ordering either the Sony Playstation 3 or Microsoft Xbox 360 will grant you access to the character when you pop that disc into your system. The character is only available for use in multiplayer only. It is unknown if a U.S. retailer will match this exclusive. Currently, only Amazon and GameStop are offering a G2 Bruticus Skin and G1 Retro Pack, respectively. Transformers Fall of Cybertron arrives on Xbox 360. Playstation 3, and PC on August 21, 2012, one week earlier than previously announced.

Transformers Bumblebee #1 Coming In December from IDW PublishingComics Continuum has posted the solicitations for IDW Publishing's December 2009 releases, and it looks to be rather exciting. First off, Transformers: Bumblebee #1, the spin-off of the Transformers ongoing comic book series finally arrives! Other Transformers-related comic books seeing release in December are Transformers #2, Tales of the Fallen #5, Best of the UK: Prey #5, and Classic Transformers #5.

IDW Publishing and Transformers Mosaic have posted their fifth teaser for the "10 Dino-Days of Christmas" in as many days. Today's teaser introduces the Dinobot Swoop and is the fourth piece of the single page. Take a look at the new image and all the other teasers available so far.
