A new company called Play With This Too was formed recently, made up of several former Hasbro exployees. They plan a startup in February with a crowd sourced figure. The PWTT figure design, while not an homage to any existing Hasbro products, is made along similar ideas. There will be heroes and monsters. It will feature a 6 inch tall figures with reconfigurable armor and lots of 5mm ports. Released already is concept art for one of their heroic designs called Astroblast.
Deadline is reporting today that The Hub will soon be transitioning to primary control by Discovery, following acquisition of a portion of Hasbro's existing stake in the joint network venture. The network is expected to be rebranded as Discovery Family, joining a range of other specialty channels in Discovery's lineup. For more details, keep reading!
Box Office Mojo reports that James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy
has made a comeback and will surpass Transformers: Age of Extinction
this weekend as the summer's top-grossing movie. Its estimated domestic take for the week is $17 million putting it at $251 million overall. This places it in third place just slightly behind The Lego Movie
and Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Venture Beat interviewed Transformers Universe vice president David Nicholson where it was mentioned that Hasbro IS working closely with Jagex on the game toys. Hasbro has taken a number of the robots created for the game for a toy line. This is good and bad news in that Transformers Universe feels like an ersatz Transformers story that will introduce more fluff into the marketplace that is already crowded with characters a lot of fans don't care for.
