with a NY Sighting from Twitter user @cogmanhotrod
! Multiple members of the 2005 Forums are reporting that the Power of the Primes
Wave 1 Voyagers are now arriving in Minnesota ToysRUs stores! The Voyagers were generally lagging behind the other assortments in US markets, making this the first chance for fans to assemble 2/3rds of a Volcanicus and of whatever Starscream's combiner name is. Hopefully we'll know soon, but in the meantime, click through for a link to the messages!
has posted listings with images for what are most likely the last two Crash Combiner sets! Primelock
(a combination of Optimus Prime & Grimlock) and Saberclaw
(Saberhorn & Bisk) are listed as being available in April 2018 - which is a date connected with a lot of Transformers listings of late. It's tough to say if these will ever show up at US domestic retail, but keep reading to see the images.
Next up on the leaks from Weibo users this morning, "tf-factory"
has also dropped package-back images of Leader Brawl and Megatron from the upcoming movie line! ...but, they've been marked through. Either someone's being an extra-clever leaker, or Hasbro has gone very effectively low-tech in their leak prevention efforts! But if you'd like an unobstructed view of an as-yet unreleased figure we've also mirrored images of Authentics Grimlock here. Keep reading!
Kevin Liu has posted a new video showing off the second half of Voyager wave 1 from Power of The Primes, giving us our best look yet at Grimlock. From what we can see in the Chinese-language video, Grimlock seems to make a better showing than Starscream in general. At least until you hit the combiner mode. But like Slug and Swoop, this Grimlock may serve better just on its own merits and putting combination aside. You can find the video below, as well as a gallery of screencaps so you can check out the details at your own pace. Click through to see it all!
From the Facebooks of HK-TF
members Waishing Leung, ChaRles Ng, Ting Yan Kwok,
and Fido Li
, we've got images of most if not all of Power of the Primes
! Among the highlights are new looks at Optimus and Rodimus Prime as well as Grimlock confronting a horde of Titans Return
Legends-class Gnaws. And also, Optimus Prime embraces his movie self (and the Prime Master/Titan Master/Matrix/Enigma cross-compatibility) and carries the Matrix of Faces. Keep reading to see the images, mirrored here for your convenience!
Fresh from our forums, chuckdawg1999 has brought us a two-in-one video covering the first two Dinobots in Power of The Primes. Deluxes Swoop and Slug (Slag) have beaten Grimlock out to retail by a little bit in the US, so we get to see how one of the first Classics
-family updates for the rest of the Dinobot team turn out before we find out about the latest take on the oft-revisited. You can find the review video embedded below!
Via Kevin Liu on Youtube, a couple videos have gone up featuring the Power of The Primes Wave 1 Deluxe Dinobots. Slug (Slag) and Swoop are featured in typical style, but the real bonus to be had is a look at Grimlock (who doesn't have his own video yet) in robot and dino modes, and as the torso of Volcanicus while the limb modes of the Deluxes are being demonstrated. You can find the videos (in Chinese) embedded below, or jump down to our gallery for HD screencaps of the good parts.
It's that time again! The first Power of the Primes
Deluxes are hitting now at certain Target stores
, and so it's time to take a look at what exactly we're getting. Short version: Dinobots, Jazz, half of a G1 Powermaster power couple, and Combiners are back. Keep reading for what's in the wave!
The Facebook page TFCN has shared some low quality copies of retailer stock photos for upcoming Power of The Primes toys. We've got the in-box images for the Leader Class Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime. We also have Voyager Grimlock in box, plus the basic out of package images showing the robot and dinosaur modes. So far none of these show an ill-conceived sticker-hell to match what we saw of Starscream just recently
, but there's always room to be surprised once these are out in the wild! Click through to see the images.
Loopaza on Facebook has shared information from retailer listings, revealing TakaraTomy releases for new movie products starting in April of next year - and if you pay attention to leak info, some of this is going to sound familiar! Along with this news is further signs of Movie Masterpiece Barricade being on the way, with MPM-5 among the listed goods. We'll go through the list for you, so keep reading!
It's that time again: New York Comic-Con is over, and so now it's time to go over what exactly we know about the figures in next year's Generations line, Power of the Primes
. At this point, it's quite a lot! Some blanks were filled in at NYCC, some leaks confirmed, and even a couple minor surprises as to the nature of the Deluxe and Voyager accessories. Keep reading to see it all!
NYCC is happening now! Yes, already: barely a month after HasCon and the week after TFCon, we've got another major convention happening. Twitch TV is streaming presentations from the event, and Hasbro's Transformers presentation is scheduled for between 11:15 and 11:45 this morning, so hopefully we'll see some of it! Keep reading to see, and we'll update with info as it happens! PS: Note that some of the ads and other content on the stream are likely NSFW
We noticed something interesting about the Legends Series comic we posted earlier:
in the panel where the Autobot Targetmasters also become Headmasters - itself an image rife with speculation! - there are others on the assembly line. One of them is Grimlock! We have a few thoughts on the possibilities of this, so click through to see the image.
Via the McDonald's Happy Meal website, we've got the promo image for the next Happy Meal theme coming to McDonald's locations in the US. Robots in Disguise will be making its third appearance alongside a hamburger and apple chips, featuring character figures of Bumblebee, Optimus, Strongarm, and Grimlock, as well as small masks of each of the characters. As is the typical process, the promotion runs with a My Little Pony option for kids more interested in that than robots. We've copied the Transformers promo image, click through to take a look!

One more quick review from diecast on RFC Reviews tonight! FansToys recently brought out a replacement head option for their unofficial Masterpiece-style Grimlock, Grinder. This new head is modeled more closely after the look of the dinosaur mode in the G1 cartoon, giving an easy modification option for owners more inclined to that appearance. How easy? Well, diecast manages it in the space of about six minutes, and still has time for several off-color jokes in the process! Wow! Check out the video in the post below.
