BotCon is over. Yet we're still reporting news for all you who missed what turned out to be a somewhat disappointing BotCon. Especially where Universe is concerned. Just three redeco figures from the ultra class we're on display this year. The Powerglide G1 colors, Hardtop from the Onslaught mold, and Skyjack recolored from the Superion mold. Check out the shots of them in robot mode with alternate shots from the previous day for reference.

BotCon 2009 is winding down with a bit of a bang thanks to Hasbro. After the Sunday Design panel they put out the unreleased Animated figures: Arcee, Rodimus Minor, and Cybertron Ratchet for all to see. Has has reported they are working very hard to release the action figures and they will be offered some time in 2009 and 2010. For now, enjoy the pics and pray to the retail gods that we'll get them as promised.

Sadly, Activision’s panel had little new information, besides confirmation that Frank Welker will reprise his role as Megatron. Hinting about downloadable content option announcements “coming soon” begged the question, is there going to be a better time? IDW’s panel had some new covers and interiors which you can see here. Just enough to wet the appetite for Spotlights: Cliffjumper and Metroplex, and the climax of the comic all G1 fans need to read All Hail Megatron The panel, forced to compete with big name autograph lines, was under populated. IDW indicated that they were interested in the possibility of a continuation of the Transformers: Animated Universe and had discussed the possibility with Hasbro.
