TakaraTomy Mall has activated the sale page for Greatshot, the rather unexpected retool of Leader Class Sixshot representing the character from Transformers Victory. Greatshot features several new parts, including the chest, helmet, tops of the shoulders, and the wolf head has been changed for a rhino head. The Headmaster component features use of the Hasbro "Revolver" tooling, making its debut in Japan as Sixshot features a brand new Headmaster mold in the Legends Series. Like Grand Maximus, Greatshot is due to ship in late March, 2018. Keep reading to see the pictures!
Just in from TakaraTomy is the first reveal of two upcoming exclusive Transformers products due in early 2018, and they're both quite unexpected! First is Greatshot, a retool of Sixshot based on the character from Transformers Victory. This features a new helmet, robot mode chest, shoulder caps, and beast mode head. The other is Grand Maximus, marking the first new character recolor of a Titan Class figure by either TakaraTomy or Hasbro. And it appears if there are more than 3000 preorders for Grand Max, it will come with a bonus Pretender Shell - borrowed from a Power of The Primes tooling. Click through see the promo images!

On Facebook, GCreations has posted an update featuring a color testshot of Fuuma, their unofficial version of Sixshot designed for a Masterpiece display. Noted as featuring various die cast metal parts and "hyper-articulated" joints in key locations, plus an array of accessories focused around the "Ninja" part of "Ninja Consultant". All of that is on display, as well as a run through of all the modes (with odd exception of the iconic submarine form) and some height comparisons with other unofficial figures to demonstrate the largeness of this new figure. We've mirrored all the images, check them out below!
Thursday afternoon following the Transformers brand panel at San Diego Comic Con, our coverage team got to spend a few minutes talking to Ashley Creedon, Senior Manager, Global Brand Marketing & Development for Transformers, and Lenny Panzica, Senior Product Designer on Transformers. The video interview covered a number of questions, including the future of the Titans return boxsets, all the way to what we can expect of the HasCon experience later this year. You can find the video of the interview below, as well as a transcription for easy reference. Click through to watch now!
One of the more fun things Hasbro's doing this year: an SDCC poster giveaway featuring a cereal box-themed poster for "Trypticon's Titanmaster Crunch!" But the back of the box, which offers a presumably complete listing of all Titan Masters, has some very interesting names on the back. Keep reading for a list!
The results are in! Finally we round out the TakaraTomy Legends product updates with November's items. Currently the last set that's been solicited, though from Tokyo Toy Show reports, we have a good idea of some of what we can expect in December! This batch has Sixshot, Broadside with the other half of Repugnus, and Targetmasters Doublecross and Misfire. Doublecross notably comes with Haywire as a Targetmaster, making it just a bit more essential to current Blurr owners. Click through to view all of the images below!
Earlier today we saw an image of the prototype for Masterpiece Dinobot, which was taken from the TakaraTomy Transformers presentation during Tokyo Toy Show on Saturday. During this presentation, other upcoming items were talked about. Some of the Japanese bloggers live tweeted it, as recording and photography were not actually permitted during the event. We've gathered the details and pieced together the translations so you don't have to! Keep reading to find out more...
TakaraTomy Mall has activated product pages for the November assortment of Legends Series items, including Sixshot, Doublecross, Misfire, and Broadside. Of particular note, Sixshot's Titan Master has not just received a new faceplate relative to the Hasbro release, but has been extensively changed, now representing a miniature version of Sixshot's own robot mode! Changes to the others are more down to the typical deco differences, and of course the Targetmasters for Misfire and Doublecross. All four of these are due to be released late in November. Alfes2010 grabbed a few extra photos of the Legends area of the TakaraTomy display at Tokyo Toy Show. Besides the brand new reveals of Sixshot, Misfire, Doublecross, and Broadside, they also had Dinosaurer - the Japanese Trypticon - on hand, as well as Gnaw, Hot Rod, and Kup. The latter two are displayed in full primer grey, but that still offers a good look at the modified parts for the TakaraTomy releases. We've mirrored this extra set of photos, click through to see them in the gallery now!
Hasbro was kind enough on June 1st to invite TFormers to a conference call, along with several other fan media representatives, to hear about the upcoming merchandise in the Transformers The Last Knight Premier Edition and store exclusive lineups, official images of which you'll have seen earlier today right here on TFormers. We were afforded the chance as well to ask a few questions of the Transformers Brand Team once the main presentation had wrapped up. Keep reading to find the highlights of this afternoon's event!
Thanks to @gadepon and AmiAmi Hobby News we have some additional, clearer images of the Legends reveals from Tokyo Toy Show. Now with closer looks at the Targetmasters for Misfire and Doublecross (who is carrying a partner that resembles Blurr's Targetmaster Haywire). We also get to see detail of Sixshot's new helmet, and Broadside's carrier mode, though that does look like an unstickered Hasbro sample as a placeholder - though the robot may actually represent TakaraTomy's version, but it's hard to tell. You can try to puzzle it out with us by checking out the full gallery below!

From Twitter user @gadepon, we have our first looks from inside the set up of Tokyo Toy Show 2017 where TakaraTomy is populating their booth, and it just so happens we're getting our first looks at Legends Misfire, Doublecross, Broadside, and Sixshot. Doublecross does appear to be delivering a Haywire-inspired Targetmaster for Blurr, and all the figures have at least some deco changes versus the Hasbro equivalents. We're also getting looks at the movie Leader Megatron and the Calibur Optimus Prime retool. We've got all these photos mirrored below, click through to have a look!
