Thanks to Colin Warhurst Website of Siab Studios of a cover of a UK based entertainment news magazine Broadcast April 2007 edition, featuring the new 2008 Transformers animated that will be 26 half hour episodes plus a 90 minute special. Click through for more information.

IESB has reported that Tom Kenny (Spongebob, "Spongebob Square Pants") will play the character of Starscream as well as the possibility of other characters in the fall's "Transformers: Heroes" cartoon. IESB previously followed a report that was announced about Tom Kenny's casting in the "Transformers" movie, which was later cleared up as being the animated series instead. Check out IESB for the full article.

According to the same posting from Frank Welkers official website saying that he was not offered any role in the Transformers movie, Mr. Welker says he "thinks" Corey Burton (Justice League, Boondocks) will be playing the voice of Megatron in the upcoming "Transformers: Heroes" cartoon. Mr. Welker describes Mr. Burton as a, "wonderful voice talent and a great guy," and gives his full blessings. Read more

Tara Strong (Xialin Showdown, Justice League) has posted an exclusive scoop on her official website that she will be playing the character of "Sari" in the upcoming "Transformers: Heroes" cartoon. Ms. Strong describes her character as, "just a little girl," and the cartoon will debut "shortly" after the release of the movie. She also predicts the show will be a big hit. Read more.

According to TheTransformers.net, they have received an e-mail from David Kaye stating that he will be voicing Optimus Prime in the upcoming Transformers: Heroes cartoon. "I’ve been cast as the new ‘Optimus Prime’....yes, Optimus Prime !!!!!! The new cartoon series being recorded at Cartoon Network in Los Angeles. You’re the first to know on the other side of the Atlantic," Mr. Kaye writes to board member "cuddles1977." Mr. Kaye's previous credits in the Transformers universe have all been of Megatron in Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Armada, Energon, and Cybertron. If this e-mail is legitimate, this also confirms that Cartoon Network will produce the cartoon. Previous rumors are also that the show has been given a 26-episode run as opposed to the 52-episode run that Armada, Energon, and Cybertron have been given. Thanks to "Blitz" of our TFans board for the news.

Mouth04 of the Allspark has heard some voice rumblings about the upcoming cartoon with the working title of "Transformers: Heroes." The rumblings come in the form of voice actor auditions taking place in Los Angeles for "Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Ultra Magnus, Prowl, Starscream plus some human characters." Some previously known information about "Transformers: Heroes" is that it will be an American-made show. Another rumbling previously heard is the possibility of the show being produced by CN Studios with a 26-episode order.

"Blitz" of our TFans board has posted information from the cartoon television board ToonTalk of what may be the next upcoming Transformers cartoon. Titled "Transformers: Heroes," the leak shows that the show is slated for a fall 2007 release and will be produced by CN Studios. The cartoon is going to be U.S.-made since it will be produced by CN Studios. The order is for 26 episodes, which is a change from the 52 episode order that has been going on for the past several iterations of the Transformers cartoon.
