News via Hollywood Reporter and m1905.com we have news that the first of the Chinese candidates to be included in the Transformers 4 movie will be actress Li Bingbing who has formerly appeared in Resident Evil: Retribution. The Transformers Dark of Moon toys hit the shelves to much contorversy from the collecting community. A number of issues plagued the toy series not least of which of the challenging action figure designs, but also smaller and more expensive toys that really never filled the void the move left with many fans, thus the line was cut short by retailers who refused the toys and left figures like the Transformers DOTM cancelled Soundblaster repaint of Soundwave that was never produced. Dwayne Johnson, AKA "The Rock" has updated his twitter account with an interesting little big of information that he could have been in two Hasbro property films. Appearently, he was Michael Bay's first choice for the lead in Transformers 4. He was unable to accept the role due to production conflcts with his role in the new Hercules movie. Having announced plans in early April for Transformers 4 to be a Chinese co-production involving the inclusion of some Chinese content, Paramount Pictures has now gone one step further in shaping the project along Chinese lines – by casting its Chinese roles through a reality television show, one of the most popular forms of entertainment in the country. Launched at a press conference in Beijing on Thursday, the Transformers 4 Chinese Actor Talent Search will be a new talent competition television show in which the four winners – two with professional acting experience, two without – will be granted roles in the next entry of the franchise.

Megatron joins Optimus Prime and Bumblebee as walk-around characters reaching heights far above Universal Studios Hollywood guests, available as photo opportunities for fans to pose with. Who knows, a half dozen more robots and we may seen a robot war break out in SoCal.

Every year Carlton / American Greetings introduce a whole series of popular culture Christmas ornaments based on well know icons. This year they have revealed two Transformers Movie designs for the 2012 Christmas Ornaments. The Megatron head is activated with a button on back of head that triggers colorful lights and plays an audio clip from the movie that we don't know the contents of. TransformersAsia.com has posted official images of the upcoming Asian market exclusive Takara Tomy Transformers DOTM Dark Energon Edition Megatron Leader Class toy. This figure is an all new redeco of the Revenge Of The Fallen Leader Class Megatron action fugure. Check all the images of the dark leader Megatron figure that will be released in Asia, excluding Japan, December 12, 2012.

ACTOYS.net have posted an image on their forum by the third party toy maker Fans Want It. The image shows an image of the Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime leaders class figure with a large black shillouttte behind him that look at lot like wings with massive jet thrusters off to the side. Transformers Asia have released a new image of APS-01 Striker Optimus Prime Asia exclusive action figure. The new image shows off the figure out of the box with details on the figures paint app details as well as his chrome embellishments and accessories. There is also information on a special a bonus weapon that will be made available. Look for APS-01 Striker Optimus Prime Asia exclusive to be out this September 30 in Asia only, excluding Japan. Here are some updated photos of Calibre Optimus Prime and Bumblebee! There photos are taken from Ani-Con & Games Hong Kong 2012 which just started today! The item is even more impressive after fully painted. As you can see from the photos, both eyes are lighted up. Weapons is massive and the paint job is metallic. The Official Transformers Facebook page has unveiled the limited edition Transformers The Ride in 3D poster that will be given out at the Hasbro booth #3213 at preview night tonight, July 11, 2012. The posters are first come first serve and is while supplies last. This poster has a very classic look to it, with Optimus Prime on the poster and branded with the N.E.S.T. insignia and the date of the ride's official opening on May 25, 2012.

It may be surprising, but official images of the Transformers: The Ride exclusive figure Deluxe Evac have not been released on the web until now. Sure the toys have been out now for a week or so since the ride officially opened last week to the public. Sure we have been shown the images of the toy at presentations since February. But now, the official Transformers Facebook page has put up official looks at the robot and vehicle modes of the figure. This figure will only be available in Transformers Universal Studios packaging while the Cyberverse Legion version of the toy will be sold at Universal Studios and released to the wide public in the Transformers Prime line.
