Dwayne Johnson, AKA "The Rock" has updated his twitter account with an interesting little big of information that he could have been in two Hasbro property films. Appearently, he was Michael Bay's first choice for the lead in Transformers 4. He was unable to accept the role due to production conflcts with his role in the new Hercules movie. Subsequently, as we know how the role was given Mark Wahlberg instead who was his co-star in Bay's "Pain & Gain" that is in theaters now. See the tweet below for the full reveal now.




Following up on the story that Transformers 4 would be working with Chinese production studios to produce part of the Transformers 4 movie. We have new that Michael Bay is scouting some areas of Hong Kong for upcoming movie scenes to be filmed. The article in TwitchFilm says the director Michael Bay "is most interested in Sham Shui Po because of its unique aesthetic." They will also be following up with the competiton to include Chinese actors in the film citing Huang Xiao Ming as a possible choice.




Thanks to casting site ExploreTalent.com who have posted a Casting Call for support roles and extras for an 'Action Sci-Fi film featuring Mark Wahlberg'. Which most of you will recognize is the Transformers 4 movie that will be coming in 2014. There are two roles they are looking to fill, Supporting Role and Extra Role. Hollywood Reportere caught up with Irish actor Jack Raynor who is in New York for the Tribeca Film Festival, promoting "What Richard Did" Raynor makes some comments about getting the part in Transformers 4 and how different this is going to be from the other movies saying "I think we’re going to make a definitive step away from the previous movies..." The Detroit Free Press have published an article on the Transformers 4 movie and filming that is scheduled to take place in Detroit, Michigan. According to Micheal Bay, the production weill begin in about 6 weeks with filming on at the sound stages, GM Plant and possible city locations as well: “We’re going to be shooting at stages, we’re going to be shooting around the city, we’re going to be shooting at GM a bit,” says Bay. The article also lets us know GM's cars will be making a return in the 4th episode of the Bayverse due to their popularity in the past.

He talks about the Transformers production he's working now when he reveals "I designed two hours 7 minutes..." for the fourth film's timeline that could make this the shortest of the Transformers movies yet. Universal Studios Hollywood’s “Transformers™: The Ride-3D,” heralded as the iconic theme park’s most ambitious ride ever, was honored for “Outstanding Achievement” in the “Attraction” category by the industry’s highly regarded Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) during the recent 19th Annual Thea Awards. Michigan Motion Picture Studios in Pontiac MI is gearing up for the giant fecking robots that Transformers 4 will bring to the city when film of the 4th installment begins. The production crew will be taking over Sam Raimi's facility where the film "Oz the Great and Powerful" was shot. China Movie Channel, under the State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT), will cooperate with Paramount in broad-based support of the production of the film in China. “Transformers 4” is expected to be released in China on or about June 27, 2014. Oh boy, there's another name added to the Transformers 4 cast. As we reported previously, Nicola Peltz was in the running for the female lead role. According to Empire magazine, she has indeed been named by Michael Bay to take the lead opposite Jack Reynor who will be playing the race car driver in the film.
