Thanks to Asian toy seller Famitoy who have posted the reveal for this years Tokyo Toy Show exclusive action figures. It appears there will be a 2-pack with black versions of the deluxe class molds of Cybertron Optimus Prime and Megatron titled the "Dark Side Optimus Prime VS Dark Side Megatron.: These are the same two figures that were released in the Transformers Animated 2-pack. These figures will be available in June for 5000 JPY / $60 USD.

The Paramount DVD Japan site has been updated with news and the DVD cover for Volume 10 of the Transformers Animated Japan DVD. The latest release covering episodes 30-33 in the series will be out in Japan only on May 27, 2011 for 3129 JPY.

The figures have begun mailing to fans in Japan on March 4, 2011. See images of this way cool figure from the Animated series in robot, alternate modes and compared with other TFA Prime!

Thanks to Ebay seller actionfigurechecklist who has posted an Ebay auction with images giving us our first look at the Animated Japan Lucky Draw Gold Megatron action figure and its packaging. As previously reported this figure is part of a mail-away campaign in Japan with just 1,000 figures made. Check out the images after the jump.

While we watch Prime, Transformers Animated is going strong in Japan with the full animated series, updated toy line, and something we didn't see here in the states. Animated arcade games. Leading game company from Japan have developed a game for the coin-op style kiosks that fans can swipe cards that come with the toys. Sega have just revealed their Ver. 3.0 cards that feature the latest characters in the series as well has special cards from the G1 Japan, Transformers 2010, and Beast Wars.

Thanks to magicikki at HKTF who has posted a couple of images showing us the Lucky Draw Silver Animated Bumblebee. Following on the Optimus Prime drawing (shown). This campaign was offered as part of the special mail-away for fans who spent more than $35 on Transformers toys. There were just 1000 of these figures were given away. Takara Tomy are presently running a new campaign for the Gold Lucky Draw Megatron.

Thanks to ModXToy, we have scans of the December issue of Hyper Hobby magazine. The magazine shows off their upcoming mail-away exclusive figure Black Rodimus as well as other TakaraTomy Transformers Animated figures. The magazine also shows off the upcoming Masterpiece MP-09 Rodimus Convoy. The figure, part of the Welcome to Transformers promotion, will be released in January. Thanks to Tformers forums member blurrprime who has posted a couple of video reviews of the Transformers Animates Japan Wingblade Optimus Prime action figure. Get a look at the Optimus Prime what was originally slated for USA release, but has only been offered in Japan to date in the two part video after the jump.

Amazon Japan has posted the "EZ Collection VOL.4" campaign for order on there with them being listed at In-stock. Collection series can enjoy high deformations. Box for the blind, or get anything from a fun opening try. one robot body deformation (point one). The Wave 4 figures consist of: Ravage, Bonecrusher, Brawl, Scorponok, Elite Guard Bumblebee, Gold Optimus Prime, Elite Guard Optimus Prime and Elite Guard Prowl.

Thanks to Tokuma-EC shop who have posted our first looks at the upcoming Japanese Transformers Animated Rodimus Black Version. This figure will be a Hyper Hobby magazine mail-in exclusive. According to the bio summary, this Black Rodimus was created by Megatron from an Allspark shard. Black Rodimus wants to kill Red Rodimus. Check out the images after the jump.

There a new item listed on Takara Tomy's site for an Exclusive Animated Activator Ramjet that will probably be a mail-away exclsuive tied to some release where participants music mailing their forms by November 10, 2010. The figures are slated for release in March of 2011. Check out the full details in-language at takaratomy.co.jp.

I don't why someone didn't think of this before, but here it is! Why chase down Animated WingBlade Optimus Prime when you just upgrade your existing figure? Thanks to a listing at Yahobby.com, we have news, images and details of the TA30 Add-on kit that includes: 1 x Wingblade kit, 1 x Hammer, 2 x Fits, 2 x Gun emplacements and 2 x Missile all for a nice price of $24.99.

Thanks to Famitoy who have posted news and an image of the Transformers Animated THE COOL Special Edition Boxset. The set will include 1 Transformers Animated Japan Comic along with one Activators Optimus Prime KA Clear Version. The set will be offered for a retail price of 2500 Yen / $20 USD and be released in Japan only April 2011.

The official Takara Tomy Transformers site has been updated with news and an image of a new DVD campaign for the Lucky Draw Gold Megatron. Following on a similar promotion for the Lucky Draw Gold Optimus Prime, fans can get one of these limited edition of 1000 figures at DVD Mail Away Prize. Stay tuned for more details.

Hyper Hobby announced in the November 2010 edition of their magazine that they will be offering an exclusive mail-away Transformers Animated Rodimus Black Version! We do not know what kind of accents the figure will sport since only the silhouette of the Rodimus figure is shown in the teaser. A form to claim the mail-away may be found in the December 2010 edition of the Hyper Hobby magazine.
