Greg "M Sipher" Sepelak has made an interesting discovery about the reissued blind-bag Kreon Micro-Changers appearing at US dollar stores - they're not reissues at all! They're entirely reversioned pieces using the updated 2015 Kreon body and entirely new tampograph applications. Keep reading for an example photo as well as more info on the differences!
You haven't seen the last of Kre-O in the US yet! Engledogg reports spotting two new $12 sets at his local Dollar General store. One features a repackaging of the Beast Hunters sub-branding Beast Blade Optimus Prime now as Beast Hunter Optimus Prime, and the other is a grouped set of the micro combiner Superion, Bruticus and Menasor, packaged as Combiner Robot Mega Pack. While for the remaining fans of the line this may not be the news they would hope for, it may still be promising that the branding is being kept going in some way in the US. Entertainment Earth has listed a new series of Kre-O sets. The "Small Cubes" are shown in this instance as vehicle mode builds based on Ratchet or Prowl, with each kit including two Kreon figures. While the building portion may not necessarily appeal to everyone as you're simply building cars with no robot option, Kreon collectors will surely love to hate this new method for feeding their mini-figure addiction. Thanks to the TFCC on twitter who have posted an image of the Toy Fair 2015 exclusive Transformers Kreon Optimus Prime figure in the package. We're not sure what the repaint refers to, but it looks like a winter colors theme. We will post more details and images on this soon!
Youtube user chuckdawg1999 is back with a video about Kre-O Battlechanger Bumblebee. Following on from Optimus Prime, we get a good look at another of these builds that take the more positive qualities of Kreon Microchangers and bring in more brick involvement. Between these two and the Soundwave we showed you photos of yesterday, the Battlechanger line is looking like a strong move in the evolution of Kre-O. Click through to check out the video!
From SamsungHK we have a batch of new photos showing off Soundwave, part of a two-pack coming up in the new Kre-O Battlechangers series of transforming figure kits. While we don't have photos of Ratchet, the other side of this set, we do see Soundwave comes with a full set of little buddies in the form of Ravage and Laserbeak mini-builds, and Rumble and Frenzy represented by the smaller scale Kreons. The photos even show a way that they can all incorporate with Soundwave in both modes. Keep reading and check it all out!

Japanese retailer Red Mercury has added a number of product pages for imported Hasbro products. Besides wave 1 Combiner Wars and RID figures, they've offered up some surprise Kre-O listings. Besides the transforming Battlechangers seen in promo materials in 2014, we've got package pictures of Custom Kreons and construction sets based on the new RID series designs. With dwindling retailer support it's unclear how available these will be in North America, unfortunately. But Kre-O seems to keep pushing on, so there may still be a chance!
