Bumblebee: Brighton Falls Bumblebee: Brighton Falls

The speculation, though hardly doubtful, over the Sector 7 role wrestler / actor John Cena would be playing in the new Transformers Bumblebee spin-off movie has been confirmed by John himself. Posting on Twitter about his working a "A full day in Sector 7" on the set that has kept him away from his Wrestling duties. So, yet another slice in the whatever-pie that the code named "Brighton Falls" may be. Part teen summer frenzy, part wanna-be sidekick robot coming into his own, part government anti-alien covert-operations, part why would anyone want to see this at Christmas time, with mostly everyone losing hope really fast.

Looks like actor John Cena may be playing a Sector 7 agent in the Bumblebee Brighton Fall movie that has recently began product in Los Angeles. Thanks to a new image from Yesterday of John on set with Hailee Steinfeld, from her Instagram News account #hsteinfeldnews. We see him in a familiar uniform with what appears to be a weapon we have seen before. Shown mounted lower left, it looks like what was used to subdue and capture Bumblebee in the Transformers (2007) movie, Hrmmmm!

Thanks to a video interview posted by Ramdeen Productions, we have word from Peter Cullen himself that he be taking the helm as the voice of Optimus Prime in the 2018 Transformers Bumblebee Brighton Falls film that is production now. While is has been said the film would not feature other robots, it seems impossible to do so with ol' Prime give the boy a talkin' to at some point in the film. And where there's Autobots, there's Decepticons. Surely more bots are meets the eyes in this teen-filled Transformers movie.

Returning home from his on-location coverage of the Bumblebee movie production location in Santa Cruz, our own BaCon discovered the entry signs for a second site just north of the city. He describes it as going up a remote mountain road toward the redwood forest, and he saw riding horses being brought in, though as one would expect, access beyond the security gate was not possible. We've got a photo of the entryway below, and we'll be keeping an eye out for more from this area!

LAIKA, the animation studio of Bumblebee director Travis Knight, has posted an image of Knight from the set of the film! He's leaning on the hood of a heavily-modified 1971 Plymouth GTX that can be seen to have a Decepticon emblem on its hood medallion. The identity of this character is not known at present, but we'll likely find out more as we closer to the release of the film next year. Keep reading for the photo!

As it turns out, Santa Cruz is within driving distance of BaCon! So he's down there now, snapping photos of the Bumblebee set. So we're posting his first round of recon photos along with the info he's gathered so far, plus a list of some of the classics cars on location we could ID. Keep reading!

Vallejo Times-Herald is reporting that the film crew currently working on Transformers Universe: Bumblebee accidentally destroyed a well known mural, present in downtown Vallejo, California since 2012. According to the story, Paramount acknowledges the error, attributed to a failure of communication, and representatives have promised to pay for the replacement of the art. The mayor of Vallejo spoke positively of Paramount's response since they learned of the importance of the art to the community. Click through to read more about the situation.

As production wraps just North of San Francisco, CA. The Bumblebee: Brighton Falls crew are right on schedule. As previously reported, they hit the beach and boardwalk in Santa Cruz, CA on Wednesday, September 20th to continue shooting for another week or so. Local news station KSBW reports the production coming to town has filled all the positions for the casting call earlier this month. The report talks with one extra who said the surfer, beachy types will be wearing 80s style clothes as part of their roles. Watch the report below for the full details.

Actor and stunt performer Rory Markham has shared an image to his Instagram account, indicating his involvement with next year's Bumblebee movie, currently producing under the code name "Brighton Falls". The photo he posted shows him in wardrobe, with a patch marked "S-7", which may indicate a presence of Sector Seven in the course of the movie's events. The patch opposite also indicated Markham's character will be named "Adams". You can check out the picture and the original post below!

Thanks to lethalgraphix on Instagram we have a first look at the color logo for the Transformers Bumblebee movie, along with looks at the Brighton Falls set production going on now at the Mare Island Navel Shipyard in Vallejo, California. As you can see from the images, they have been doing some shooting at night with some interesting props on the set. Many of them appear to be various boats that may be used in the film. None of them look like Transformers, sorry.

By now, we have traveled the United States, and the World, watching Transformers movies. When it came to the 6th Transformers movie being made in California. Paramount called in Jonathan “JJ” Hook to locate places to shoot the scenes. Which, the location choices have gone so well, its lead to a rewriting of the Brighton Falls (working name) script. Read on for insights on the challenges of filming on location and more on the Bumblebee film after the jump.

Attention all you ‘beachy types’ down in Santa Cruz and near by areas. Paramount Pictures is looking for extras to cast in the new Bumblebee: Brighton Falls film that will be shooting in Santa Cruz, Califonia for three days between September 20th and 22nd. This is a paying gig with possible overtime. Those interested can read and reply to the details via KION TV5, after the jump.

It looks like we're getting to the "needs more security" stage of filming for next December's Bumblebee movie. Kathy Applebaum has posted on Instagram an image of two yellow Volkswagen Beetles present at what's being reported as a filming location for Transformers Universe: Bumblebee. The return to the classic Bumblebee vehicle mode is something that had been hinted at from the earliest points of real talk about this movie happening - though we bet Bumblebee isn't going to spend too much time in the movie with this alternate form. Sonoma News is reporting that Paramount Pictures is casting local talent for the new Transformers Bumblebee: Brighton Falls film that has begun shooting in San Rafael, California recently. The report says production will continue along the North Coast with shooting scheduled for additional locations such as the Marin Headlands, Mare Island and Vallejo and a possible wrap in September at Santa Cruz, California. The casting call is looking for mostly younger talent as well as other roles and extras. Read the full details on the casting call below.

The Marin Independent Journal is reporting today that production for Transformers Universe: Bumblebee has begun in the Peacock Gap area, in San Rafael, California. The movie caught attention recently by taking a sizeable incentive from the state of California to film the entire movie within its borders. This leg of production is reportedly codenamed Brighton Falls, though whether that will relate to the content of the movie, such as the location it takes place in, is unknown. A photo from just outside the closed filming was posted with the article. You can find that mirrored below.
