Street Fighter II x Transformers Crossover Toys Revealed in Figure King. Yes, Really

We have an early look inside the pages of this month's Figure King magazine, and while we once thought all it would have to show us was Masterpiece Dinobot, it seems we were quite mistaken. The feature seems to be the reveal of an upcoming pair of exclusives from TakaraTomy, redecoing select Transformers molds as characters from Street Fighter II. The individual who apparently took the original photo was evidently so worried about being credited that he obscured a large portion of the contents of the page with his name stamp, but we can see enough to know who's in the lineup. Keep reading to find out more!

Indications from the text on the page are that these will be TakaraTomy Mall exclusives, to be delivered next summer, in either May or June, as the release date text is difficult to make out. The sets consist of Ken vs Chun-Li, using the Legends Series Deluxe Hot Rod and Arcee molds respectively in character-specific deco. Hot Rod's Headmaster similarly seems to be decoed to resemble Ken in its individual robot form.

The second set is Ryu vs Vega - Vega being the original Japanese name of the character western audiences know as M. Bison. This uses the Titans Return Voyager Optimus and Megatron figures decoed as the Street Fighter characters, marking the first availability of the Megatron tooling in a Japanese release of the mold.

The smaller set appears to be priced around ¥8000, while the larger appears to be in the neighborhood of ¥13000, though we can't read that text clearly. Unfortunately because of the highly intrusive watermark we can't see much detail on either M. Bison or Ken, but we should be getting better quality scans of the magazine soon, and we'll bring them to you as soon as they're available so we can all have a good, hard look at this inexplicable madness.

Because for you, the day Bison graced Transformers was the most important day of your life. For Bison, it was Tuesday.
