Botcon.com has posted the announcement today that Scott McNeil will be attending as a guest at Botcon 2016 in Louisville. While a complete listing of Scott's voice roles would occupy more space than the observable universe, naturally he's most relevant for his work on Beast Wars with four major characters to his name - and one minor role that happens to be fairly important to this year's exclusive box set: Tripredacus Council member Cicadacon. This will be Scott's seventh Botcon appearance.

Fun Publications has released the brochure for Botcon 2016, taking place in early April in Lexington, Kentucky. As such we now have the pricing info for the various convention packages, featuring a primus Package set at $399 - a reduction from the cost of 2015's box set. As well we now know what form the tour events will take, as well as some updated policy related in the brochure that everyone should make sure to be aware of. Keep reading for all the details!

The trademark-watchers over at Transformers@The Moon have posted a curious piece of news this morning: Hasbro has filed a trademark with the US Patent Office for the name "Cybertron Con," which is the name of the official Transformers convention in Asia. It's far too early to tell whether this means a name change for BotCon, a new convention, or simply a "defensive" trademark so no fan group can take it in the US, but at any rate, it's an interesting development! Keep reading for a link to the original story.

The Botcon 2016 boxset reveals have stirred up some disagreements, as the Tripredacus Council members among the assortment are all colored in primarily red - based on what they looked like in their single cartoon appearance. While the details of the arguments aren't important, the situation led Verno from TFW's board to inquire directly to the director of The Agenda, Part 1 - and amazingly he got an answer! Keep reading for some behind the scenes of Beast Wars!

Via their social media channels, Fun Publications has revealed which of the three Combiner Wars Voyager body-types will be used for the fifth member of next year's boxset. General Sea Clamp will find himself embodied in Silverbolt - or at least, one of two variations. With no specific alt mode attributes visible in this teaser art, it's unclear if it will be Silverbolt specifically, or the retool as Scattershot. That will have to wait for the actual mockup reveal, due tomorrow. Meanwhile, click through for the art, taking us back to a better time in Transformers.

Botcon.com has been updated with the fourth reveal of the 2016 boxset's exclusives. As indicated in yesterday's art reveal, the newest figure is Cicadacon, a straight red and silver recolor of Aerialbot Skydive. With five new heads having been noted for this set of toys, that confirms the combined form will have a unique headsculpt. And this leaves us with just the torso remaining to be revealed as most likely General Sea Clamp, and so the wait begins to see which Voyager mold they've colored red and silver! Keep reading for the Cicadacon mockup image.

The Transformers Collector's Club Facebook page has revealed the next part of the Dawn Of The Predacus set: Tripredacus Council member Cicadacon! The first proper photos of the toy are to be revealed tomorrow, but from the artwork shown he appears to be a straight recolor of Combiner Wars Skydive. Keep reading to see!

Besides bringing us great coverage of the Preview Panel this afternoon, Radio Free Cybertron has been going around through the day grabbing pictures of new and upcoming items being displayed at exhibitor and vendor booths in the dealer room. We've collected them here from the RFC Twitter for easy viewing, so you can keep reading to see lots of items from Fansproject, KFC, MakeToys, MMC, Play With This Too and more!

On the Botcon website today we've had the third reveal from next year's boxset. Having already teased that the Tripredacus Council from Beast Wars "The Agenda, Part 1" were going to be part of it, the first of those three has been shown as Ramhorn, made from the Combiner Wars Brawl mold ...with a drill attachment. Yes, more importantly than the convention reveal, it may be that we finally see evidence of how the Technobots were planned to be executed for Combiner Wars, meaning Ramhorn seems to have inherited the body of Nosecone. Click through to have a look.

Just in from the Brand Licensing Europe 2015 event in Olympia, London. Also announced are apparel deals with FYODOR GOLAN and Philipp Plein. Read on for the full details.

The Botcon website has updated today revealing the second of the 2016 box set exclusives. Joining Ravage in April will be Tarantulas, based on the Rook mold and sporting the character's Transmetal colors, versus the original coloring seen on this year's subscription service Tarantulas. Along with this, they've announced Alec Willows as a guest. Willows of course was the voice behind Tarantulas, and has not been to a Botcon since all the way back in 2000. Click through to see the full toy reveal image.
