Hasbro just announced that Transformers: The Last Knight star Mark Wahlberg will be joining the exciting HASCON line-up on Saturday, September 9th! Mark will be participating in the Transformers: The Last Knight panel, and he’ll also celebrate the Transformers legacy at the 10 Years of Transformers VIP Dinner on Saturday evening. You can find full details below. HASCON is taking place September 8 – 10, 2017 at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

Hasbro was excellent enough to send us over a very large box filled with a number of the exclusive items they had on offer at SDCC and just this week on Hasbro Toy Shop for us to check out. We'll be working on bringing you coverage of these items very soon, but in the meantime you can find out just what all we received by checking out the unboxing video I shot as I cracked in to the shipping carton. And let me tell you, there was no wasted space in that box! That video is embedded below, and be sure to watch for more coverage on these items coming up!

Yesterday (just about 24 hours ago from the time of this post) many of Hasbro's SDCC exclusives went live on Hasbro Toy Shop. While Star Wars merchandise was revealed to be held back until September 1st, Transformers, GI Joe, Marvel, and Magic: The Gathering items all activated to a waiting population of SDCC non-attendees. It was a question as to the overall response, since the 2016 exclusive offerings were notable for not selling through very quickly. Keep reading for a rundown on what happened next!

Chris McFeely has posted his videos from the TFNation 2017 panel on the G1 episode "Heavy Metal War"! In these videos - timed to go along with the live presentation at the con - storyboards are compared to the final animation, the differences between that animation and the error-filled rough cuts are shown, and a series of extended and deleted scenes are reconstructed with a combination of the recently-discovered G1 dialogue tapes and the storyboards! Keep reading to see!

SDCC this year featured exclusives in a bit different style from what we're used to, but still made a good showing. For all of us who weren't able to go to San Diego and spend hours in lines waiting to try to buy some of the goodies in person, the home edition of that game is about to start. At some unspecified time tomorrow, Hasbro Toy Shop will go live with inventory of several exclusives, including Primitive Skateboarding Optimus, the Revolution 16-Figure Box Set, and Voyager Movie Optimus with a piece of material from a screen-used vehicle tire. Keep reading for a link to the Exclusives category and more info!

The Nottingham Robot Company has posted images to their Facebook page of a new upgrade kit they'll be pre-releasing exclusively at TFNation! It's a simple kit but a good one: a pair of hand-chromed engine blocks convert any two Titan Masters into engine blocks styled after Mega and Giga, Overlord's G1 Powermasters/Godmasters! A head block is also included for Overlord's faceplate, which promises putting the face "in a more prominent position" and with "an easter egg for longtime comic book fans." Keep reading to see the announcement and images!

TFNation has announced their very first convention exclusive! Based on G1 character Glyph - herself introduced at a BotCon 15 years ago - CT001TFN Rune is produced by MAAS toys based on their Cybertech CT001 Skiff figure, which is a Bumblebee made in the image of his Cybertronian alt-mode as seen in G1 cartoon episode "More Than Meets The Eye, Part 1." Keep reading for more info!

It's time! Hasbro has begun collecting the final votes for the Transformers Hall of Fame, with winners to be announced at HasCon 2017. Thursday afternoon following the Transformers brand panel at San Diego Comic Con, our coverage team got to spend a few minutes talking to Ashley Creedon, Senior Manager, Global Brand Marketing & Development for Transformers, and Lenny Panzica, Senior Product Designer on Transformers. The video interview covered a number of questions, including the future of the Titans return boxsets, all the way to what we can expect of the HasCon experience later this year. You can find the video of the interview below, as well as a transcription for easy reference. Click through to watch now!

It's a Wednesday night in the middle of July, and that means it's time for the San Diego Comic Con Preview Night! Our team at the show is hard at work snapping photos of the Transformers displays currently staged at the Hasbro booth. It doesn't seem like any surprises have been snuck in just yet, but that should hopefully change by early tomorrow afternoon after the Transformers panel. We'll be covering that event as it happens, so keep right here with us for all the latest on the anticipated first reveal of Power of The Primes! And click through for our gallery below!

Soundwave is an impressive figure! It turns into a super-thin tablet and amazingly, is not really frustrating to transform in any way. The only downsides: it doesn't look much like Soundwave, and that backpack is so close to being a fun little Laserbeak figure. Keep reading to see 65 images of Soundwave!
