BotCon originators the Hartman brothers stopped by the 2005 Forums to announce that they would be completing the liquidation of their Transformers collection at this year's BotCon! Having sold off the first half of their collection at BotCon 2006, the remaining half will cover 1998-2006 and may contain upwards of 1000 pieces. Keep reading for the announcement!

Following up the video reveal on Monday morning, the Botcon site has posted the official product photos of Oilmaster, the character based on an unreleased Pretender concept from G1, featuring an all-new build Pretender shell in the style of the original prototype containing a recolor of Generation Legends Swerve, and armed with reused Construct-Bots weapons. Click through to see the mirrored images!

Botcon.com has been updated with the official brochure for this year's convention. We've got details now on the tour packages being offered for those who choose to arrive a little early, and pricing for this year's attendance packages and the upgrades you can purchase, including the Frank Welker VIP Pass. For the details, keep reading!

The fifth figure for the Botcon 2015 boxset has proven to be what many have speculated, the Pretender Oilmaster. The inner robot is represented by a recolor of Generations Legends Swerve with its partner Targetmaster figure. The Pretender shell based on a canceled G1 concept appears to be a fully new piece made for this set which can hold both robots. Keep reading for screencaps, the embedded video and more!

Northwest Fan Ventures has announced their second annual Cybertronian Festival! Taking place August 22nd this year in Kent, Washington, the single-day event is related to CybCon, the long-running but defunct convention that ran for thirteen years. Keep reading for the full press release and a link to the site!

The Botcon website has been updated with details about the special package add-on that will allow pre-registrants the opportunity to meet Frank Welker. The VIP Pass will cost $200, in addition to a required Primus Package or Golden Ticket. Those who purchase the pass will be allowed one autograph, a professional photo with Mr. Welker on Saturday afternoon, and exclusive art print and pin, and priority seating at his panel. This may partly be to offset his appearance costs, but probably provokes some sticker shock anyway. Keep reading and tell us what you think!

Not long after the reveal video was posted and word spread around about the contents of egg number 4, the Botcon Twitter was updated with a two panel preview from this year's convention comic book. Featuring Packrat along with the freshly premiered Megatron, we may not be able to gather any story from this isolated sample, but we can at least enjoy the robot lineart stylings of Matt Frank. Click through and check it out!

Fun Publications has just posted their latest video reveal, showing off the fourth of five boxset toys for this year's Botcon. As basically everyone had figured out already, "The Boss" is a Dark of The Moon inspired Megatron using the Arms Micron Silas Breakdown mold. While the video shows a new head sculpt fusing movie and G1 styles, and three included Arms Microns, no mention is made of the panel with Silas himself sculpted in to it. We have screencaps and the video embedded, so keep reading!

With the polls now closed, we have our nominees for the 2015 Transformers Hall of Fame. The top three results from each category will be sent on to Hasbro to take part in official selection for this year's inductees, the winners of which will be announced at Botcon. To find out who took the top spots in each category, keep reading!

Product photos of the third items from the 2015 exclusive boxset have gone up on the Botcon site. Revealed a bit late this past week, Shattered Glass Stepper is the orange, black, and white redeco of Reveal The Shield Jazz which includes the Nightstick Targetmaster mold first seen on this mold with Million Publishing's exclusive Stepper. We're still trying to work out how orange relates to Stepper, but at least Nightstick carries on the blue theme of the exclusives so far. Click through to see the mirrored photos!

Just before the video showing the third exclusive boxset toy went live, the Botcon website was updated with a product page for the second reveal, Battletrap. Recolored from Generations Springer with a new head sculpt, the former Duocon more or less represents its source material - not to mention telegraphing a not-altogether-unlikely Flywheels to come up somewhere along the way. Click through to check out the page and the three new images!

Fun Publications has uploaded the next Botcon boxset reveal video to their Youtube channel. The third figure is "The Loose Cannon", following Packrat as The Thief, and Battletrap as The Muscle. The newest member of "Cybertron's Most Wanted" is Shattered Glass Stepper, from the Reveal The Shield Jazz mold. Stepper features no new parts, and a deco adding a lot of orange over the standard Stepper/Ricochet colors. We've embedded the video and taken some screencaps of the figure, so click through and check them out!

Once again with Botcon drawing ever closer, it's time to nominate characters and people to be inducted in to the Hall of Fame. Hasbro has reached out and asked for our help in choosing those nominees once again, so it's time to open the polls! This year we have three categories waiting for Fans' Choice nominations, so click through now to find out what they are and get links to the individual polls, open until 11:59 pm Central Time, Sunday, April 19th.

This year the Hall of Fame will be inducting a lucky musician or group who have contributed to official Transformers productions, be it movies or TV, or even official music videos! A great many people have had their hands in this field, and we've selected some personal favorites and some that have had significant influence on Transformers with their work. Voting is now closed!

Joining the Favorite Character category, this year we have a special sub category for the current popular flavor, combiners! Fans are invited to vote for their favorite combiner characters, with one to eventually be selected for induction to the Hall of Fame. We've looked outside the typical box and gotten together some worthy combiners, and now it's up to you to pick who gets the nomination spots! Voting is now closed!

Last week, among the stories we reported on from Transformers Expo 2014 was the custom sticker set that turns a clear red and black EZ Collection/Legends Optimus Prime into Nemesis Prime. Kinda. The comic has it all, from Beast Wars Megatron to Dr. Arkeville to Dark Energon. Keep reading to see!

Auto Assembly 2014 is the premiere UK Transformers convention, and it's happening next weekend! Full Metal Hero reports that IDW artist Nick Roche will be on hand, selling prints of sketches of the More Than Meets The Eye Season 2 crew, as well as the Lost Light crew Holoavatars seen in Season 1's field trip to Hedonia. Also, colorist Josh Burcham has contributed design for a "Dinoband" tshirt to be sold at the con. Apparently musical Transformers is a theme this year! And if you haven't seen enough photos to feel like you're really at BotCon yet, BaCon's got a nice, meaty gallery of the dealer room for you too! See anything you're looking for? Maybe something rare? Or maybe somebody you know? Click the title to see the full gallery of 50+ photos!

Trizer is a recolor Transformers Prime Thundertron meant to be an aged version of Cheetor; Flareup is a recolor of Prime RID Arcee (soon to be partially recycled as Generations Chromia), and Apelinq is our second recolor for this con of the Beast Wars 10th/Cybertron Deluxe Optimus Primal mold.
