We reported earlier on TakaraTomy's release of Cogman being postponed with no projected new release date, but today we've also learned a little more about the (probably largely theoretical) North American Hasbro release of the figure. Entertainment Earth has posted the case loadout for Deluxe Wave 4, and it's not very good news. As expected, Cogman is the only new figure is the wave, but what it ships with should be cause for concern. Keep reading to find out what you can expect.
The good news is Cogman will ship two units per case of eight. But that's not a great ratio when held against a full load of rerun toys, the contents of which include the following:
• 1x Barricade
• 1x Berserker
• 1x Bumblebee (wave 3 reship)
• 1x Crosshairs
• 1x Strafe
Not only will the newly added toys from wave 3 continue to ship, but they've rotated in Barricade and Berserker from wave 1. If you've gone at all recently to any retailer carrying Premier Edition Deluxes, you've probably observed that the last thing any store needs is more of anything from wave 1. Even worse, with major online retailers generally only offering The Last Knight toys in full assortment batches, there's a high probability of having to purchase those other five figures to be able to get a Cogman. And demand is so obviously high right now that individual offers stand a considerable likelyhood of being gouged up to scalper resale level pricing if they're made available at all.
We here at TFormers sincerely wish any and all who are seeking to add Cogman to their collections the best of luck on obtaining this toy that is becoming more and more absurdly difficult to reasonably source.
