With MakeToys, TakaraTomy and Ocular Max all seemingly employing a slightly different philosophy in terms of aesthetics, it would seem that we are completely spoiled for choice and that everyone’s specific preference will be catered for across the many Masterpiece-style fire truck releases. Ocular Max have incorporated what seems to be a very real-world accurate vehicle mode and tried to appease both toy and toon crowds...

Iron Factory posted to Weibo today, offering up a batch of new photos of Soul Reaper. This figure is based on the Transformers Victory character Black Shadow, albeit by way of the Generations Deluxe toy rather than the original Pretender version. But if anything, this Legends-scale figure seems to be doing everything it can to upstage its larger official counterpart, but perhaps that's easier to do when approaching a common design a few years after its release? Keep reading to take a look at the pictures.

Fresh off their Weibo page is a first look at another upcoming figure from TFC Toys in their Poseidon series. The fifth not-Seacon is Deathclaw, a take on Nautilator seen as a grey prototype piece. The figure looks well realized in both modes, and even features some little extras like an "attack mode" for the robot replacing the hands with big claws. With this, the end of the Poseidon project is actually almost in sight - only one figure to get an "official" debut before it's down to just waiting for them to go up for sale. Just announced on their facebook page, is the MTCD-01 Striker Manus Reveal Cross Dimension Series Unofficial Optimus Prime figure from Maketoys. The figure appears to take a page from the Revoltech figure with ultra-articulation incorporated to offer the kind of range of motion we don't normally see. He's also going to have some nice weapons to go with, including the signature fusion cannon and what looks to be an axe-blade weapon.

By way of a magazine scan we have a first look at a new upcoming product from Toyworld. Blues is their take on Jazz in the Masterpiece style. This attempt seems more generally toy-influenced than J4ZZ, the other MP-alike not-Jazz to come on the scene recently. The prototype is shown in height comparison with MP Tracks, as well as showing off a range of accessories including different weapon options, and speaker parts. These and the lack of door wings seem the most notable media influence on the figure. The scan seems to indicate an October release. keep reading to have a look!

Following the reveal of their surprisingly brazen code-naming of their unofficial Jazz product, we have some interesting new photos of "J4ZZ", including a side by side with Generations "Reveal The Shield" Jazz. Seen right next to each other it's hard not to feel that J4ZZ ...borrows... heavily from this Jazz's engineering, though we admit at least some of that must simply come down to inevitable similarity given both are closely emulating one base design. Check out the photos below to see for yourself!

Iron Factory has posted to Weibo showing a quick few new pictures of the prototypes for an upcoming two pack of their Legends scale figures. The set currently known as "Double Edge Blade" is a pair of figures based on Drift, and his Decepticon identity of Deadlock. The figures are shown in robot modes only, but give a look at the differences that distinguish them, including signature weapons. We have the photos mirrored for easy viewing, so keep reading to take a look!

Crash Hog and Dumpyard each stand 8.25” in robot mode and transform into motorcycles. They are made of ABS plastic with rubber tire pikes and die-cast feet and thighs. Chests, heads, and arms are exchangeable between the two to form new robots. This set is priced at $169.99 USD with shipping expected in July 2016. You can order these figures separately and as a set now at bigbadtoystore.com

Before Titans Return Leader Class Powermaster Optimus Prime even sees release, Perfect Effect acts to bring us the missing piece of the puzzle: a Godbomber/Apex Armor to combine with! PC-15, an extension of the Perfect Combiner upgrade series, is only seen in Second Trailer mode, but sports larger versions of the PMOP guns as well as God Bomber's trademark big gun. Keep reading to see the photo!

Having seen preproduction images for a while now, it looks like Spark Toys unofficial Optimus Prime figure has started sneaking out to retail. The figure is based on the Dreamwave The War Within series, depicting a pre-Earth Cybertronian form. While the pictures we have courtesy of Hau Chi Lee use Generations (2010) Blurr as a scale reference, we understand that this figure is also comparable in height to MP-10 Optimus Prime, although that comparison is not shown here. Click through now to see more of this big, bulky figure!

The first video preview of the Desolataur prototype is up. Crowd funding will start on February 27th, 2015. Note: This is a resin prototype, so it literally wears as you move it. The final product will be made of high quality plastic, will be painted, and will have chains.

TFCToys' Weibo Page has posted the final color images of upcoming combiner limbs Warning Line, better known as Protectobot Groove, and Aethon, better known as Predacon Tantrum. These figures will form legs for Prometheus/Defensor and Ares/Predaking. See the pictures below!

Wanted to let people know that KFC are sending out free replacements for the problem-ridden guns for their Ironpaw and Nightstalker figures. Good on them for fixing this issue! "Hey! Fans of KFCTOYS. We tested the new shoulder cannon for Ironpaw ,and put up a video of how it works just with your nail to rotate it out. This new shoulder cannon will be shipped to the retailers very soon.including silver for CST-02J and metal gray for CST-02NS."

UPDATE. Dr. Wu just posted a poll on his weibo page, with numbers 1 to 9 and the following instructions (translated from Chinese with google): "MP police shoulder cannon made some settings, please vote choice, choose up to three per person." So it looks these cannons are for Masterpiece Prowl, and he's asking the fans to choose the three designs he will make. Post your favorites in the comments below.

Paik4Life has posted a video to Youtube showing off the testshot build of MMC's Carnifex figure that was on display at Cyber City Con last weekend. This long awaited figure based on IDW's interpretation of Overlord is shown off in robot and vehicle forms, though the transformation was not allowed to be filmed. However, the video gives a good overview of this huge figure, showing off its articulation and details in particular. We have that video embedded for you, so click through to watch it!

The latest work from harrisloureiro has just been posted to Youtube. This time the skilled stop motion animator presents a fight between Warpath, as played by Badcube's Wardog, and Astrotrain using DX9's Chigurh. We're always really happy to see new works from this producer, and this latest video certainly does not disappoint - except maybe that the video doesn't run longer! We have it embedded below, so click through and enjoy!

A video has been posted showing the process of upgrading Combiner Wars Devastator with parts from a testshot of the X2Toys add on. Interestingly while providing almost entire new forearms and hands, the kit still calls for the original wrist plates to be used with the new parts. Otherwise everything seems a simple matter of snapping pieces on during the combination process. The video was originally posted to the Miaopai service, but we've mirrored it to Youtube for easy viewing. Click through to watch!

A video was posted to Weibo by a user we haven't been able to identify just yet, showing a somewhat large figure based on Beast Wars Dinobot. Going by the way it's designed, we're assuming this is the work of an unofficial group, but right now any conclusion is complete speculation. The video is now mirrored to Youtube for easier viewing, and we've got it embedded below, so click through and take a look.

Diecast from Radio Free Cybertron has video of FansToys' Grenadier! While Third Party toys are forbidden at BotCon proper, there's a dealer room across the street at the St. Charles Hilton where this figure was being shown off! Keep reading to have a good look for yourself!
