Fansproject Release Teaser Hidden In Extra's For Assulter!

By Reluttr on Thursday, November 15, 2012

BBTS just put a picture of the tree of unpainted mini figures included with assulter for use in carrier mode. All is in place with the top row, Defender in copter mode, car mode, steel cores cab, and trailer. The teaser is in the second row of miniatures on the tree, the first being a race car, most likely a nod to Drag Strip from the upcoming Menasor release. The next item on the sprue is a futuristic jeep, but not just any jeep, its g1 roadbusters alt mode! Which if you remember right, a stylized roadbuster robot mode was also featured in the comic with Protector's comic.

Then we come to the last 2 items on the tree, a pair of very futuristic motorcycles, they almost look like the perfect effect/idw arcee design. I would say its a nod to a possible Computron release since afterburner had a alt mode similar to that, but whats weird is that there is a pair of the cycle, like with the release of PE-DX-01. Does this mean there is a collaboration project between Perfect Effect and Fansproject in the works? Its highly possible, FP has collaborated with Maketoys in the past, and since FP is interested in reinventing the power, target, and head masters, it would only make sense to work with the masters of tiny transforming robots.

Whats probably the most exciting thing about this all is that since FP released a physical item of these designs then its means that they already have a working model of all of them. So basic or not, FP has began work on ALL of these in one way or another and have made it past concept art stage!

Planet X has updated their Facebook page with photos of a color sample of the upcoming PX-04 Summanus, a Fall of Cybertron version of Snarl! With a sword very similar to FoC Grimlock's and what appears to be a Scatter Blaster, Summanus is looking really good! Planet X says that this isn't the final production version, so we'll be sure to keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, keep reading to see the photos!
On the TFormers Forums, Scaleface has assembled the week's worth of Play With This Too news- and it's been a busy week! Color guides have been posted for previously-known characters Bite Mark and D-Kay, as well as a new character, R-Buke, who is a Tech Drone jet in G1 Dreadwind colors! Also present are full renders of Desolataur, headshots of more new characters by artist Candice Santora, and an intriguing set of 5mm-compatible accessory staves by newcomer Albie Lim, whose picture you'll find in the gallery. Keep reading to see it all!
DX9 has updated their Weibo page with images of their Micro Worlds X05 figure, a Legends-scaled version of G1 Cyclonus! It's decent looking for the scale, with a slightly squashed jet more that wouldn't look out of place with your QTransformers. It even seems to come with a weapon patterned after Cyclonus' Targetmaster partner Nightstick! Keep reading to see more!
Maketoys has posted teaser images and a brief description for a new line of figures titled Re:Master. The name and text seem to imply a "new scale," and puts heavy emphasis on the concept of scale in general. Current speculation is that the figures - interpretations of Chromedome, Hound, and Inferno shown only in silhouette- will be in the post-MP-10 Masterpiece scale, but nothing is known as of yet. The amusingly named Xipoo company is reportedly manufacturing block kits that are in the vague style of Kre-O Microcombiners, but fully brick-built instead of minifigure based. A series of five kits features dinosaurs that can change to robot models, and a full set can be rebuilt to make "Ultimate Warrior Dino King". We have a few sales listing images mirrored, and while we might not recommend trying to purchase these, they're an entertaining look at the more creative than usual side of the knockoff trade, much like the lego-style Angry Bird Transformers figures we reported back in December.
