Fansproject Release Teaser Hidden In Extra's For Assulter!

By Reluttr on Thursday, November 15, 2012

BBTS just put a picture of the tree of unpainted mini figures included with assulter for use in carrier mode. All is in place with the top row, Defender in copter mode, car mode, steel cores cab, and trailer. The teaser is in the second row of miniatures on the tree, the first being a race car, most likely a nod to Drag Strip from the upcoming Menasor release. The next item on the sprue is a futuristic jeep, but not just any jeep, its g1 roadbusters alt mode! Which if you remember right, a stylized roadbuster robot mode was also featured in the comic with Protector's comic.

Then we come to the last 2 items on the tree, a pair of very futuristic motorcycles, they almost look like the perfect effect/idw arcee design. I would say its a nod to a possible Computron release since afterburner had a alt mode similar to that, but whats weird is that there is a pair of the cycle, like with the release of PE-DX-01. Does this mean there is a collaboration project between Perfect Effect and Fansproject in the works? Its highly possible, FP has collaborated with Maketoys in the past, and since FP is interested in reinventing the power, target, and head masters, it would only make sense to work with the masters of tiny transforming robots.

Whats probably the most exciting thing about this all is that since FP released a physical item of these designs then its means that they already have a working model of all of them. So basic or not, FP has began work on ALL of these in one way or another and have made it past concept art stage!

Well that and roadbuster got a completely new character design and name in the Defender comic. Also I could had swore that I stated in my post that the 1st row of the tree was confirmed releases/designs, and the trailer is most defiantly on the 1st row of the part tree.

I thought FP Scrapped their Wreck-Gar concept when Hasbro Came out with their RtS Wreck-Gar. I can possible see them doing a Sandstorm since they have now done Springer and Broadside. It's be nice if they did a Blitzwing since no one has put one out yet.

That was the first and only thing that came to mind when I saw that one. People are seriously over thinking this. Emerje

I've seen some wild speculation in my time, but DEAR GOD. That Steel Core's trailer is on the sprue should surprise no-one; FansProject Core already put out an announcement revealing that a trailer was in the works. The dune buggy is clearly Sandstorm; again, a no-brainer considering that F... read more

If you ordered from FansProjectCore, then it's likely that your order has been shipped. I sent them an e-mail complaining as to why the online stores got their Assaulters in stock, but I, who ordered directly from them as soon as Assaulter went for sale, had not gotten mine. Well, they explai... read more

Those are a mystery to me, however they bear some resemblance to the Autobot police officers from IDW's Transformers series, they also look like they could be proto's for Afterburner

I'd have to say you're Dead wrong on the Dragstrip homage, the racer is identical to G1 Sureshots Alt. Mode.

X-Transbots has published numerous photos of what is probably a near-final production sample of Andras, their take on a Masterpiece-style Scourge figure. Shown in what looks like production plastic colors and possibly paint deco, the photos highlight a lot of the toy's small details, as well as give comparisons to official Masterpiece figures for a better sense of the robot's size. This set of images also shows off the LED lighting feature in vehicle mode. To check out all the new shots, keep reading.
Today we've got a look at a figure by the group SparkToy, based on Optimus Prime as he appeared in Dreamwave's The War Within series. Marked as being 9 inches tall in robot mode, this figure is up there in similar scale with Leader Class toys. Fans of this design may be pleased to see this figure, as it had previously only been represented in the 6-inch Titanium Series. Price and release info are a ways off yet, as the shown sample is said to be a 3D printed prototype. Click through to have a look!
The Transformers Fourth Party Club's Weibo page has posted images of Machine Boy's version of Astrotrain, whose name has yet to be properly euphemized in English. It's a pretty good looking toy in all three modes with some interesting features: the shuttle mode has a communications satellite; the robot mode's chest fin seems to be able to store in a groove in the torso to better match the animation model; and the train now has a coal car in case a robot space shuttle train with no fuel was too much disbelief to suspend at once. Click through to see him!
After revealing recently via CG design models a full out replacement for Combiner Wars Mixmaster, today Dr Wu has shown photos of a prototype piece. The figure's robot mode will stand somewhat taller than the official Mixmaster, but from the look of these photos doesn't improve on the design meaningfully. Also seen on their Weibo page are renders of arm replacements for Scrapper, and an improved crane arm for Hook. We've got the images mirrored, so click through and check it out.
From that talented folks at OWI who brought you the T3 Transforming Solar Robot, they have done a one-up and created the T4 Transforming Solar Robot. "T4" not only has more transformations, but it also comes equipped with bigger parts, meaning your younger child does not have to be excluded from engaging in some quality robot fun.
