Wal-Mart Listings Confirm & Dish Out Spoilers! Plus New Unannounced Figures
By bwbm on Tuesday, May 05, 2009
Wal-Mart.com has put up some live product pages today on multiple Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen figures which will undoubtedly spoil some of you. The lists confirm some previously-heard rumors and dish out some spoilers (do you see a trend with the bolding? Good) on the film and also reveal new figures that we never knew existed before.
First, some spoilers. As if the nickname "The Twins" of Skids and Mudflap weren't any indication, it seems the twins will indeed start out as the Ice Cream Truck. This alt-mode was spotted during the Bethlehem, PA shoot, where we saw the truck split in half.
This revelation today makes the news that the Twins combine that much more obvious. However, as the Empire article doesn't reveal which version of them combines, it is unknown whether or not the Beat and Trax versions will combine.
We get our first look at the Revenge Arcee figure, and she's red. The figure looks very close to the Chromia figure (also on Wal-Mart's website).

The ONLY thing that's making me hesitate on getting Prime is that I KNOW somewhere down the line, Hasbro's gonna release Premiums. Not to mention those red toes of his are driving me crazy.

It's just a matter of personal opinion folks. Some people like the simplistic, cartoony style of Animated while others like super-intricate, realistic styles shown in the movie.

I don't mind good "shellformers" or good "kibble." I just transformed Salvage and I love the look of his fenders and doors on his sides.
On the otherhand I find the Animated toys bland. And too playskool-ish. I have TFA Blurr and really like him but I'm not all that ... read more

The transformations are pretty clever, and in some cases quite marvelous, but once you think about it, a lot of them are basically glorified shell formers. At the core, most of the movie figures are really simply a matter of moving panels out of the way and unfolding the robot underneath. Animated ... read more

That's what I thought when I first saw pics of the toys for the first movie. But then when I actually saw them in store and started collecting them, I was blown away by the detail, how realistic their alt modes are, and the clever transformations.

I dont think any transformation can save that toy...
