Toy Fair 2010 - RPMs Become Action Fleet - New Toys

By Primus on Saturday, February 13, 2010

Just in from Toy Fair is news about the RPMs sub-line that Hasbro has redubbed "Action Fleet" along with the announcement of two new products. The "Bumblebee Battle Track Set" and the "Stealth Force Optimus Prime Vehicle. Judging from the product summaries this is the newly renamed RPMs line feature the static alternate modes with robot image on the underside. Read the details after the jump.

The new items indicate that Hasbro is happy with the response to the RPM line. Introducing a whole new set, the second one after the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen RPM Devastator Showdown Vehicle Playset. This time its little ol' Bumblebee pitted aginst big bad Megatron. The product description suggests there is crash and smash up action incorporated into the play pattern.

Created specifically for the ACTION FLEET TRANSFORMERS line of mini-vehicles, kids can join the adventure and help BUMBLEBEE and OPTIMUS PRIME defeat the evil MEGATRON by racing to victory with the new ACTION FLEET TRANSFORMERS BATTLE TRACK set. The glory of winning depends on your skill; launch the BUMBLEBEE mini-vehicle, exclusive to this track set, at the correct time and send it crashing into MEGATRON who will crumble in defeat. Introduced in 2009, TRANSFORMERS mini-vehicles feature the robot version of characters unique to the TRANSFORMERS universe on the underside of each non-converting vehicle for easy identification.
Another indicator RPMs are selling is another large scale Optimus Prime figure is being served up. Without an image, it is hard to tell what is new from the Radio Controlled Optimus Prime just yet. It does auto-Transform which suggests they are taking these toys up a notch or two. Bring it on.
