Video Review - iGear PP01 Faith
Liege Evilmus - Friday, April 30, 2010

Thanks again to Peaugh, we have a video review of the first custom from iGear's partnership program, PP01 Faith. The figure is what you would call a mini-Masterpiece Convoy, but does it hold up to the same standards?

Watch the video below to find out!

Your best option would be buying straight from iGear, I think. It's unlikely BBTS and those other online retailers you listed are gonna be stocking Faith Leader.

Sooo..., I'm ready to buy this, but I can't find a single vendor (much less compare). Igear's website lists it as 'Sold Out', and BBTS, TFsource, Digital, Robot Kingdom don't carry. So, is anybody selling this item?

It's al good. Again, I'm not knocking the figure, it seems awesome. It's just the price and my line concerning so that conflict. In all honesty, I can't wait for the import

Actually dude, I was wrong. He does have die cast, but it's just the beast mode toes. For some reason I was thinking the torso and maybe the chest were, but no, they're not. In fact, he's not as heavy as I remembered. I was playing with one of my Masterpiece Primes earlier this week and... read more

I may be well be wrong about diecast and grimlock. I'll admit it if I am. Again, these are just things I heard about the figure which as I mentioined I don't have. If I'm incorrect, I am sorry.

Very nice. Now he is in scale with the other MP and Universe Transformers.

Faith Leader is to MP Convoy what Energon TRU DLX Megatron was to the bigger Leader version. Sorta.

I am just amazed at how identical this figure is to MP-01. I'm convinced that someone has developed a shrinking ray. I would rather spend money on the knight morpher than this. If I bought this figure and put it on my shelf it would kinda make MP Optimus less special....I'm sure MP-01 would ... read more

Lol, try rotating the front bumper piece so the chrome side shows through the windows instead of the grey side with the nipple screws!

Perfect Effect has revealed the prototype for their next Perfect Beast release. Mega Doragon is based on Transmetal 2 Megatron, reimagined in a more purpley-mechanical style than the cyborg-like original Beast Wars design. Mega Doragon is equal height to Beast Gorira, and taking the dragon wings in account, probably beats it for overall mass. We don't get a good direct look at the head, but from what's visible the face sculpt seems to capture Megatron pretty well, which will surely be an important consideration for potential buyers. We have the images mirrored below, click through and take a look!
Mastermind Creations have released details and images on their R-31 Ater Beta and R-32 Stray action figure releases. A look at both figures in their robot and alternate modes along with details on the weapons and other features with links to the pre-orders, after the jump.
Fans Toys has put out some teaser images for their FT-30, which will be a new take on a large-scale Superion combiner, starting with FT-30A, their (as yet name-unrevealed) unofficial Silverbolt. The other Aerialbots are represented in the defocused background for proof of concept, but what we get to see is an overview of the core robot in both modes, and at this stage the design looks pretty nice with a strong following to the animation. Not too much detail can be pulled from this quite yet, but it looks like we'll have another project to keep watch on for a while. Click through to see all the images mirrored from Fans Toys' Weibo.

Dr Wu has some new upcoming products to show off via Weibo. First is ASURA, an upgrade package for Masterpiece Megatron. It consists of a sword (in one of two color styles), a mini camera mode Reflector, and a Cybertronic set of binoculars that come in one of two colorations like the sword. The HOME set is a system of interlocking base plates in the general style of the always-popular Mechanical Chain Bases, where you can make a basic environment for your toys - provided you buy enough sets. We've mirrored the pictures of both, keep reading to see!
