The Hub Launches 10/10/10; Transformers: Prime To Start On Day One

Advertising Age has confirmed that The Hub, a collaboration between Hasbro Studios and Discovery Communications will launch on 10/10/10 (or October 10, 2010, for the uninitiated).

The special Cable Guide section of the Advertising Age magazine reveals that Transformers: Prime will debut on launch day, most likely in the afternoon and early evening Kid's Prime block targeting 6 to 12 year olds.

The channel is divided into dayparts and dedicated to specific age groups, with morning with HubBub for pre-schoolers and Prime-time, acquired programming and films for the whole family rounding out the programming blocks.

Jeff Kline (Ghostbusters), Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci will run Transformers: Prime, which will "continue the saga of 'Optimus Prime' and the 'Autobots' battle the evil 'Decepticons,' led by 'Megatron.' This Fall, viewers will expeirence the world of 'Transformers' like never before."

The channel will also have a website, currently only a splash page and a press release, available at HubWorld.com.
