Front-Runners for Replacing Megan Fox In Transformers 3 Already Arising

By bwbm on Wednesday, May 19, 2010

Despite news of Megan Fox departing from the Transformers 3 film, forced or otherwise, The Wrap and Ain't It Cool News report that there are already front-runners to replace her.

The former site reports that Gemma Arterton, the lead actress in the upcoming film Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. The site also names Bar Rafaeli, Miranda Kerr and Brooklyn Decker as other potential candidates.

Meanwhile, AICN reports via "highly trustworthy sources" several more actresses, including Emmanuelle Chriqui (Entourage), Zoe Saldana (Avatar), Hayden Penetierre (Heroes), Camilla Belle (10,000 BC), Ashley Greene (Twilight Saga), Amber Heard (Zombieland), Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Seems like a large amount of young, up and coming, attractive actresses are on Director Michael Bay's mind to replace a young, up and coming, and attractive actress.

I thought that was the main female in Twilight. I take back what I said, my bad Ashley Greene. And dude! I was totally thinking Dakota but I didnt want to sound like a perv. She was really cute in Push and I could go for her in TF3, but NOT as an object of sexuality. Id want to see her in it ... read more

I find Ms Arterton gorgeous (her "dinner party" look in Quantum of Solace, in particular)...but she's more cute and wholesome than Ms Fox, who was basically a sultry look. If any of this is true it's GOT to be a different character, not a replacement. I can't say I mind, she ... read more

At least on the bright side, it's not the main female from Twilight. (Ashley Greene is the only reason I'd likely watch any of the Twilight films for.

The hero? So TF3 will have a love interest for Bumblebee, then? And for angst, make her a Decepticon.

Thanks to an article by william-james88 of Seibertron, we have scans of a photo shoot from the September issue of Elle Italia, the Italian version of the long-running fashion magazine. In the photos, model Josephine Skriver is shown shopping on New York's Fifth Avenue with her boyfriend from space - who is none other than the movie version of Optimus Prime! Keep reading to see the photos.
Olivus Prime of the TFW2005 Forums was able to sit down with Mark Ryan recently and talk Transformers movies. Ryan is the voice behind Revenge of the Fallen's Jetfire and Age of Extinction's Lockdown, and spoke of his inspiration for Jetfire, the amount of his own acting that was put into Lockdown... and perhaps most interestingly, a hint at the direction of Transformers 5 and the Transformers Cinematic Universe at large. Read on to see what he had to say!
Get your views in on the Transformers movies listed on Netflix as they will be removed from the listing at the end of September. Transformers: Age of Extinction and a number of other films such as the Hunger Games, World War Z that are part of the Epix distribution deal, have not been renewed at this time. We've been here before, where the deal was done only to be re-done at the zero-hour. Read on to see the quote from Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer at Netflix.
Empire Online has posted a ranking of the 100 greatest characters to feature in a movie, as selected by their readership. And Optimus Prime managed to make the list! Just barely avoiding falling in to dead last place, Optimus Prime ranks 98 out of 100. We're not entirely sure on what criteria people made their choices, but the bullet points on Empire's list might have you believe it's due to Optimus riding a dinosaur. We can but wonder if he wouldn't have ranked higher had he not murdered Frasier a short time later. Click through to get a link to the full list.
Following the long slow run up to Transformers 5 and the Cinematic Universe. We have some new insights from Daredevil writer Steven Dekinght. He's been part of the writers room sessions and gives us his take how things are unfolding. Paramount are "pulling all the stops" including a visit from Steven Spielberg himself. While no word on what the new Transformers 5 movie being worked on now by Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner, we do get a sense the new blood may actually produce a movie a story in it. Read on for more.
