Transformers Uber Collection on Pawn Stars
Backfire - Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Chances are by now you've seen the History Channel's TV show Pawn Stars. Recently, they have been airing and episode where they meet with a Transformers collector with a lot of robots. See multiple copies of many G1 figures like Fortress Maximus, Scorponok, Mirage and many more that won't believe. Thanks to forums member Backfire who posted a whole mess of stills from the show.

Now you can marvel at the images of insanity or watch the whole episode online at The TFs start at 19:00 on the clip. Thanks to Garrett Feddema of our Facebook page!

Did they use the picts I posted? 48 listed in the gallery and that's how many I posted??? It's OK if they did, a little credit would be nice though, looks like my picts. Sorry about the blurry shots, my cable connection stinks!

i'm not mad i just had say that, $10K for that book was way to much try about $1-3k, i know that they have to make a low price but you would never get a low price for all of those TF

Well, in this economy (heh) some people just need money and fast. Many people hope to make the money back later and come back for it, but that is unfortunately not the truth a lot of times.

They are a pawn shop so I don't really get mad at the store for offering such a low amount, I get mad at the person selling it because they should know how to say "No". Like the lady with the Alice in Wonderland book looking for $10k and was offered $5k. If they don't as... read more

i saw this episode on monday at 10, and when the pawn star Rick said i will give you 5,000 for it i thought to myself this guy is absolutly retarded 5,000 for a collection this huge, he rips people off and he thinks this TF Fan will sell all of this for 5 or 10 thousand your the stupidest person on ... read more

I was glad to see him not accept $10K for it. I think if they offered $15k though he would have probably taken it. Let's just hope that he has at least 3- 6 months before his child arrives. $5k in labor? What the heck is that all about. The hardest part of the whole thing would ... read more

i wish this guy was my brother, uncle, cousin or what ever. i just wish i knew him. must not covet... must not covet...

I was watching this with my brother and I told him right off when I saw the collection there was no way they would buy this. First off collectors on this scale know what their collection is worth and aren't likely to budge so that's one barrier. The second is barrier is that the guys at the ... read more

Now WHY isn't he a part of these kind of forum? I'd like to think he just brought the Pawn Stars guys there just to get a proper appraisal but he did know what he was looking for. I think as the seller he should have high balled it first only because the pawn borkers were set to rip him of... read more

I think his target price was $10,000 from the start. If you watch the show regularly you would notice the guy from Pawn shop never pay anything more than 50% of the appraised.

Imaginarium recently shared a shot of the upper body of their upcoming Devastator statue, showing off the general styling and detail level. Tonight they've continued downward, revealing the lower half of the body with a look at the legs and a considerable chunk of the base environment the statue stands on. Sadly these are not separate cuts of the same image in order to piece them back together - or I would have - but you can still get a good sense of the overall product between them. Click through for the mirrored image!
Three A, makers of high end - and high price - action figures including a range of licensed Transformers figures has revealed a new entry tonight, exclusive to ThinkGeek. Ultra Magnus is a redeco of the Optimus Prime figure, naturally in the unarmored cab-robot form. Its features are more or less the same as the Optimus figure it's derived from, including basic accessory loadout. ThinkGeek's price is just about $400 and they're accepting orders for the new Ultra Magnus right now. Click through to see the promo photos and a link to the product page.

Kidrobot has teamed up with toy giant Hasbro for a an all-new collection of Transformers vs. G.I. Joe toys, art figures and collectibles based off the John Barber & Tom Scioli critically acclaimed comic book that has gained an international cult-following! There can be only one to rule them all and in the case of the Decepticons it’s Megatron. The God-Emperor of the evil doers of the Transformers is ready to take his rightful place on your shelf. In conjunction with Hasbro, Kidrobot brings you the next piece to the Transformers Vs GI Joe capsule with the Megatron Art Figure.
There has long been speculation about if, when and how Hasbro and Mattel would join forces to make the ultimate toy and game company. According to The Wall Street Journal, Hasbro is said to be on the prowl (pun) again, after substantiated news just last year, about the two companies being in talks. At this point there is nothing substantial to report. Yet, this time feels better with Hasbro's recent move to a media company. When more content is what they need. Barbie, Hot Wheels and so many brands under the Mattel brand are great choices.
