Toy Fair 2008 - Animated Supreme Prime, Leader Class Images

Next up are images of Supreme class Roll Out Command Optimus Prime (retailing at $49.99 and available in the fall), and the leader class ($39.99, June 22, 2008 followed by an additional wave in the Fall).

Supreme Prime is the largest incarnation ever of Optimus Prime. Equipped with “Auto-Spin Conversion Technology,” Roll Out Command Prime begins to morph from vehicle to robot as he rolls along the floor. The figure comes equipped with a moving mouth, sounds, and speech from the cartoon. Also included is a toy replica of the double-bladed power axe seen in the series.

The leader class figures have working lights and sounds and morph into cool vehicles. Featured characters in this assortment include Bulkhead, Megatron, and Ultra Magnus (not shown).

Megatron is a must buy for me, despite my hatred of most Leader class Transformers. Supreme Prime, however, looks too bulky and large to be any good. Earth Mode Voyager class Prime IMO is a virtually perfect Animated Prime, except for his inaccurate axe, but that isn't too big of a deal.

Do what I did and use the 2-packs axe, much better and the deluxe Cybertrons will work too. The Voyager is the best, if not one of the best Prime figs yet. His legs spin down too, way cool in person.

I've seen many reviews of Voyager Prime on Youtube and I must say, the spinning legs...Awesome. And the fact that Voyager Prime's legs don't just flop around like that Classics two pack Prime's chest did (before I knew it locked...) just makes it even better. :)

As much as I love Prime I'm going to have to say make mine Voyager Class. That Bulkhead is just pure love though! I'm all over that when he comes out!

I have all three, both deluxes and Voyager, and the Voyager is the b est by far. I havent even though about getting Supreme Prime but I probably will. lol

I still would like to know if Prime can move his shoulders up & down vertical. It looks as if he can horizental, also his "mouth moves when he talks" does that mean his faceplate? or his faceplate comes down so you can SEE his mouth?

All questions im DIEING to know at the momment.

hey i think there were some photos of a leader class prime with a trailer

they were on TFormers not to long ago, i think the trailer turned into some thing like a back pack, curse my crappy memory, and his fire extinguishing hose nozzel thingy turned in to a hand gun.

Edit: his trailer turned into an axe the size of his torso though it wasn't very cartoon accurate it still reeked of awesomeness!

Edit 2: he also had a faceplated that could be slid down to reveal a mouth

You're thinking of the Voyager version of Prime.

Awesome, megatron´s mouth and eyebrows move when he talks. ^_^

Also, the sound that head master makes is the best voiceclip included with a toy, ever! for those who haven't heard it yet, head master scream Ownage! To-Tal Ownage! when you attach him to bulkhead. i wonder what sounds he'll make when attached to megatron or ultra magnus. (and yes! buyah! my favourite character finally gets the leadership promised to him 22 years ago.)

Megatron makes me feel Goooooooood.

A definite buy.

Prime is pretty cool, but will require more pics.

Rotor spinning gimmicks are alright if it's the G.I. Joe Dragonfly helicopter, but they stink on Transformers; especially when the transformation is compromised because of them.

Unfortunately, I can't think of a single, deluxe-sized and above, non-rotor-spinning Transformer helicopter in the past fifteen years...
