Somehow fans seem to accept the idea that Hasbro has nothing to do with successes of its brands, but is to blame for all of their faults.

any one else find it funny they still call him the human torch? I know that was his name but I figure putting "based on" in front would not look so wtf

as far as faces go this guy looks ok judging by the art but then the art for the hulk looks cooler then the toys face

Actually I like how the bot face looks NOTHING like the Human Torch. You can almost say it's Torches new plane for him to fly...or better yet, just a cool new flying transformer. I hope there's landing gear to the plane. The Iron man one lacked gear, total pass for me.

I know landing gear is a picky thing for me on planes but hell for $15 this toy better have some more going on than being a paper weight that turns into a robot. I dont know why they didn't make little open cokpits with little figures for them like in SWTF.

oh dont get me wrong I HATE the SWTF's just for the wtf faces my issue was with his name having Human in it when its a transformer.

and I agree for $5 more I want landing gear and a few other little things to make it worth it

Ironman has fake landing gear, but he DOES have alot of little extra's that is better then the landing gear imo. Im sitting with him right now in front of me & he is :awsum ! He LOOKS like Ironman which I think is win, and if you have him in hand you will know what i mean about the extra's. His wings fold up behind him into a small backback, his lower legs get covered up by unique transformation of parts on the thigh that come down to cover the holes. He is SUPER articulate! He also comes with 2 missles that dont fire, 2 that DO via arm cannons, and 2 missle racks to clip underneath his wings! He is full of :win guys! lol

And this Human Torch DOES look like a remold of some sort. He even sits in the packaging the same way. I hope they changed at least part of his transformation because there is a back story behind this lore' and Ironman is the leader, so it seems :fail if they make HIM into a remold. In the story Ironman & Mr Fantastic developed these new battle suits. But the thing i was wondering is why do the Evil forces get them also? Maybe they stole the technology or working with them? idk but i do know these toys kick ass & ARE BIGGER then dlxs so you get your moneys worth.

1/ It needs more translucent orange/red to make it "flaming".

2/ I'm also a fan of the "non-character" look to the face. All of the SW-TF's and the Marvel bots that are basically "the character in vehicle costume" are a bit waste of time to me. Hope Hasbro learn from their previous mistakes and create a bot that represents the CHARACTER of the original hero without resorting to "spraying the face of the person on the front of the car to represent them".

Look at those Hotwheels Disney racers. They are not merely faces sculpted into cars. They are abstracted representations in car form. Thats what they should be aiming for in terms of the robot designs.

I wonder if it will come with a lighter so you can recreate the burning robot look yourself.
