This is in prototype stage. Check out Powerglide and Cyclonus at their prototype stage, same blocky look. I know the ironhide proto pic is still around and that will give you an idea of HOW different they look when produced.

Aren't we already getting a semi-professional production run of the fembots from the guys that did the recent Arcee figure?? Aside from that though, I'd say the final version of this particular Jizai toy will look better than these prototype pics; their stuff usually does. Powerglide is abs... read more

Jizai would also have to stop producing these by hand and find a factory to come down in price.

Jizai would have to seriously come down in price before I would consider buying one of their figures. I do agree she looks way to blocky

This toy fails my Transformer toy rule. The cost and size are disproportionate.

MOOOON RACER! ... Get it? ... No? Seriously though; I'm not interested unless it sees some improvement from prototype to final phase. Awww... who am I kidding? Even if I liked it I wouldn't be able to afford it...

More Third Party News
Though it currently lacks a codename for itself, ToyWorld has unveiled a prototype of the Swoop component of their team of Masterpiece-scale Dinobots. The design takes very much after classic Swoop in having an extremely square beast mode, though it leads to a nice looking robot. Seen here also is the entire ToyWorld dinosaur team combined together, albeit made about half of prototype figures at this stage. Click through and have a look!
Through the Facebook page of The Falcon's Hangar, we have our first look at a new Mastermind Creations recolor. Alas, despite bearing the name Grandus Hexatron, it is not a third party take on everyone's favorite city block/carrier/coffee table from Battlestars. Instead this is a retool of Hexatron as the character Greatshot from Transformers Victory, who was an Autobot retool of the original Sixshot. Price and release info is to be announced, but for now click through and check out the photos!
Pictures of what looks to be a retail-ready production sample of Iron Factory's small-scale Ultra Magnus figure have popped up via a couple of Weibo accounts. One gives a good quick overview of the Magnus-based figure itself, while the other teases what's obviously a Diaclone, Powered Convoy based deco ...along with one more in just red and white that we aren't quite sure what it is, assuming it's anything more than just a random-colors testshot. Click through to have a look and decide for yourself!
Surely about 5 years ago, something like this would have been completely inconceivable? A high quality transformers product created by a new company, completely unaffiliated with the official manufacturers and based entirely on an original character created for an official Transformers comic by a fanfic writer who made it and illustrated by a fan artist who made it.
A couple images have turned up today showing a new third party Constructicon project. The prototype seen so far only in incomplete Devastator configurations is being attributed to DX9 Toys, as part of their War In Pocket line of Legends-scale figures. If these are what they seem, we could have a very interesting project getting underway, although most might think that any existing Devastator is already technically scaled better for Legends Class figures. Personally, I just hope they'll come in an orange variation. Click through and have a look at the prototype photos!
