Transformers 4 Age of Extinction - Reboot Revival as Mark Wahlberg Says The Film Stands Alone

Variety magazine caught up with Transformers 4 Age of Extinction star Mark Wahlberg at CinemaCon who has given us a few comments on the movie. He was hot on the hype with this film saying it would be the biggest movie of the year. He's also reviving the idea that this IS indeed a reboot saying the movie is the "most iconic" of the movies and that it "stands alone" from the others. We don't know why Bay and others refuse to call this a reboot, but its getting harder to see it as part of the franchise linage.

“This will be the biggest movie of 2014,” the actor beamed at CinemaCon on Monday night.
[...]
“I feel like it’s the most iconic franchise in movie history,” Wahlberg said of the films.

He also confirmed that “Age of Extinction” stands alone from the previous three Transformers movies which starred Shia LaBeouf.
