The TransformersAsia Facebook page has posted a wealth of images of the new Ultimate Optimus Prime, showing off what almost has to be the definitive version of Optimus as he appeared in Transformers (2007), Revenge Of The Fallen, and Dark Of the Moon. Featuring comparisons to the previous APS-01 release, Ultimate Prime features lots more paint and a tremendous loadout of weapons. The figure's due for release on April 24th but in the meantime you can keep reading to see the mirrored gallery of 43 images!
Cinematic Universes are a Thing right now, with Marvel and Star Wars leading the way. Now, according to Deadline, Paramount is looking at their biggest movie property with an eye towards more varied (and frequent) releases. To that end they're enlisting writer Akiva Goldsman, whose credits range from the drama A Beautiful Mind to the well-received TV series Fringe ...to Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. This should be interesting. The story also hints that Michael Bay may unsurprisingly be returning for Transformers 5 after his current movie project - or at least that TF5 won't go ahead until that project is complete. Site sponsor Robot Kingdom has posted images of the upcoming Hybrid Metal Figuration Age of Extinction Bumblebee from Herocross, a large figure featuring (as the name implies) diecast metal in its construction. It's due for July at a price of $130, and looks decently poseable and highly accessorized as far as SD figures go. Keep reading to see!
ToysRUs Japan has posted new images of Black Knight Optimus Prime! Based on Armor Knight Optimus Prime, the heavily-reworked version of Generations Leader-class Optimus, Black Knight Prime is every bit as extensively painted as the Armor Knight version and looks great. The figure is due for release in August at a price of 8,638 Yen after tax. Keep reading for the photos!
Fans in America are quick to forget about those Bayformers robots. However, in Shanghai a Hunan father and son team have turned away from farming vegetables to the much more profitable endeavor of building Transformers robots statues out of car parts. According to a report on Shanghaist, they are taking in 1 million yuan ~ $160,00 usd each year.
