Transformers 4 - Dinobots, Galvatron and Others Rumored to Make Appearances in New Movie

By BaCon on Tuesday, May 21, 2013

Just in is some very interesting rumors about the Dinobots, Galvatron and Hound coming to the bit screen. Read on for the details on this unconfirmed news. According to their report, we will be seeing some kind of interesting mix up with Lockdown and Galvatron on the Decepticons side. That will be counter balanced by Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and the Dinobots on the Autobots side. Read the the rumor info from JoBlo now.
...gleaned from a recent marketing event. One of those projects is TRANSFORMERS 4
...
our source has confirmed that TRANSFORMERS 4 will feature none other than the famed Dinobots, including fan favorite Grimlock.
...
One of the villains of the film will be a character named Lockdown, who has a ship full of decommissioned Transformers, including the dinobots, which are somehow brought back to life by a captured Optimus Prime.
...
Prime is joined by returning autobot Bumblebee and at one point both characters (and potentially others) will "ride" the Dinobots into battle in Hong Kong (which fits well within the announcement that the film would film partially in China), with Prime on Grimlock and Bumblebee on a Pterandon, presumably Swoop.

Additionally, the autobot Hound will make his debut, as well as a former "Samurai" Decepticon that wants to regain his honor and become an Autobot. And what about Megatron, who is presumed dead after the last film? Well, fans of TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE will be happy to know that not only will the dinobots be making their debut, but also Galvatron.

Supposedly, this news coming out some marketing event. Which is somewhat plausable for the time frame of the movie and when things need to get rolling. What most interesting is Bay has made it clear in the past that he thought the Dinobots were lame. Which does make one wonder of the validity of these claims. Only time will tell.

A member of the 2005 forums spotted an interesting prototype among the special features on the TF4 Blu-Ray. A designer is holding a new Dinobot of some type, and one that very much looks like a new riff on the stylized Animated Grimlock design. Odds are good the Dinobot leader is going to figure into the show released on the heels of Age of Extinction, but the question remains: is this our next Grimlock? Keep reading to see the photo!
YouTuber chuckdawg1999 has reviewed Construct-Bots Hound and Wideload! Hound looks pretty good in both modes, and Wideload turns into a nifty set of armor and weapons for Hound - but Chuck does have some concerns about the construction. Keep reading to see the review!
Time to go out and pick up Age of Extinction! Today is the North American release date for the fourth Transformers film on physical media - Blu-Ray, 3D Blu-Ray, DVD, and combinations thereof - and BaCon's got a list of what you'll find where! Click here to read it!
For those who prefer their Dinobot leaders in a less warm color profile and their Optimus Primes fully painted, ToysRUs has the set you've been looking for! The Platinum Edition set of the Leader-class figures is now up on ToysRUs' website at a price of $109.99. That stings a bit, but since Leaders go for $45-50 each now it's not as much of a markup as it could be. Especially from ToysRUs. Keep reading for the link!
Steve Jablonsky has posted to his official Facebook page that the score for Age of Extinction will be released on Tuesday, October 7th. Jablonsky is currently hard at work preparing a number of signed copies to be sold through the publisher's website, and suggests a few may also make their way out to some retail locations.
