Transformers 4 - Dinobots, Galvatron and Others Rumored to Make Appearances in New Movie

By BaCon on Tuesday, May 21, 2013

Just in is some very interesting rumors about the Dinobots, Galvatron and Hound coming to the bit screen. Read on for the details on this unconfirmed news. According to their report, we will be seeing some kind of interesting mix up with Lockdown and Galvatron on the Decepticons side. That will be counter balanced by Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and the Dinobots on the Autobots side. Read the the rumor info from JoBlo now.
...gleaned from a recent marketing event. One of those projects is TRANSFORMERS 4
...
our source has confirmed that TRANSFORMERS 4 will feature none other than the famed Dinobots, including fan favorite Grimlock.
...
One of the villains of the film will be a character named Lockdown, who has a ship full of decommissioned Transformers, including the dinobots, which are somehow brought back to life by a captured Optimus Prime.
...
Prime is joined by returning autobot Bumblebee and at one point both characters (and potentially others) will "ride" the Dinobots into battle in Hong Kong (which fits well within the announcement that the film would film partially in China), with Prime on Grimlock and Bumblebee on a Pterandon, presumably Swoop.

Additionally, the autobot Hound will make his debut, as well as a former "Samurai" Decepticon that wants to regain his honor and become an Autobot. And what about Megatron, who is presumed dead after the last film? Well, fans of TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE will be happy to know that not only will the dinobots be making their debut, but also Galvatron.

Supposedly, this news coming out some marketing event. Which is somewhat plausable for the time frame of the movie and when things need to get rolling. What most interesting is Bay has made it clear in the past that he thought the Dinobots were lame. Which does make one wonder of the validity of these claims. Only time will tell.

Recolored (yet again) from one of the Transformers: Cybertron Mini-Cons, Carnivac would likely be intended as a stand in for Lockdown's wolf-like cyborgs that menaced the human props in Age of Extinction. The Micron will be available at Toys R Us locations in Japan with the purchase of 3000 Yen or more worth of Transformers products during the campaign period. Keep reading to check out the up close image!
TakaraTomy's website has been updated with an image and information about the upcoming release of Black Knight Strafe. Following on from Grimlock, Slug, and Scorn before, Strafe is being redecoed in a black-heavy look and will be available via Cybertron Satellite locations throughout Japan. Starting in December, this figure will be available for 3200 Yen, but of course will cost quite a bit more for those of us who must rely on middlemen and secondary retailers! The official Transformers Facebook page has posted a selection of concept art images for various Age of Extinction characters. Representing about half of the main characters of the movie plus a Vehicon body design, this gives a detailed look at several of the character models that would go through additional refinements before being fully produced for visual effects in the movie.
