"Beast_wars" of Actoys Forum has posted some very interesting photos of what seems to be Transformers Alternator #27 Ford GT Rodimus which has a slightly different paint scheme compared to the Kiss Players version. Elaborate Photoshop? Or maybe the next Hasbro San Diego Comic-Con exclusive for 2007 with that event just around the corner? You be the judge.

Comic Con exclusives suck! Just because it is a Transformer, a lot of greedy scalpers take all their friends to buy em all out. It's not fair!

Looks retail to me. It has a UPC and it has the UK and Canada safety symbols on the back.
Then again, if it is limited to ComicCon it goes to show how extremely anal Hasbro is and how much they're dropping the ball.

LoL.. Comic Con. I did went to comic con for nemesis.. I was the fifth person left in line for nemesis then Hasbro flagged a big sign and said nemsis prime SOLD OUT....
Rodimus looks great... as a GT Ford.. But i was hoping for more of a trailer type vehicle for him... Has anyone seen action figure modes from the upcoming TF movie.

Same basic packaging, except never arrived at my Wal-Mart.

PLEASE BE REAL! Also, please don't be some stupid exclusive! I still don't have Nemesis Prime, and I'm not going to pay the $60 plus the damned scalpers are charging. I don't know why Hasbro can't make more Nemesis Primes for the mass market. Based on the sales for the rest of the Decepticon alternators, they basically have a license to print money. I'm really digging those flames...looks way better than KISS Rodimus!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Repling to datsjustprime, I beleive it's because Hasbro didn't renew licenses for certain names for characters. Other people or businesses bought the rights to that name, and now Hasbro can't use the name. Like Jazz for example, has to be called Meister. Or is that a Takara thing?

I believe you actually are wrong my firend....
HOTROD MAGAZINE is hugely responsible for the fact that hasbro can no longer use the name HOTROD anymore, since the late 80's HOTROD MAGAZINE had a problem with it...
which is why if you look at the name on the very first g1 reissues that came out a few years back you will see the name said AUTOBOT HOTROD as in not his name but more so as to what he is... An AUTOBOT HOTROD, hasbro was sneakly when they did that...
But now he's just called plain'ol RODIMUS...
