Between late 1984 and 1986, Hasbro released a series of Transformers characters in North America and Europe that never saw release in Japan as "Transformers", despite previously being available as part of other Japanese toy lines. These non-Japan Transformers became known in the Western world as Jetfire, Deluxe Vehicles and Deluxe Insecticons. The Transformers heavy snow statues return to the Asahikawa Winter Festival held held six days of February 6 to 11, 2014. News and a design image shows a huge snow sculpture depicting a G1 Optimus Prime in robot and truck mode has been released. The 55th Asahikawa Winter Festival held by the Asahikawa city council commemorates the Transformers 30th Anniversary with the the original Optuimus Prime.
