Animated Toyline Moved To Late-June Release Date

By bwbm on Wednesday, November 28, 2007

The most recent issue of the Transformers Club Magazine reports that the Hasbro brand manager Mike Ballog has stated that the Transformers: Animated toyline has been delayed until late-June. The full-line release will now happen in August.

This is a push from the spring 2008 roll out of the line revealed during Licensing International Expo 2007 back in June.

Thanks to "Lawson" for the heads up.

CN will have pushed the cartoon up to the 6:00 AM slot long since then, thereby making everyone forget it exists by the time the toys come around. Honestly, why couldn't they have been ready in time for the cartoon launch?

so i get to watch the new cartoon starting in december, and then after it has been playing reruns for months the toys will finaly hit shelves, and not even in full swing? so, if the cartoon bombs between now and june, they will have made all those toys for nothing, and they will be behind on the next project.....

hasbro needs to get their act together

Really, I think this delay has more to do with the fact that wallets are empty after Christmas. Like mine. LOL.

*Sobs*

The Animated line SHOULD be trying to keep the momentum of the film going. This will hurt. Bad. I mean, what are we going to get? the movie line limping on "Allspark Power" lame redecos?

Yes, I think collasal blunder would describe this move.

Hell, the show could be canceled by then.

I'm sure they have their reasons. Probably had to switch to a new paint process so they wont get a lead recall. ;)

Might have something to do with the success of the movie line too...since it's still selling incredibly well, they don't want to over saturate the market with another new line just yet.
