The
recently announced Transformers Animated (UK) comic will be a separate entity from the IDW Publishing Transformers Animated: The Arrival, which begins in August.
Simon Furman writes on his
blog that he will be writing some "fully-originated lead strips" for Titan, emphasizing that he will not be doing all of them, "but a few here and there, kicking with issue #1’s story 'Swiped!'"
Mr. Furman does not reveal any details of the story or the artist, but he does reveal that the series will last a year and be "self-contained but with that all-important arc as well, and introduces an all-new character."
He also reveals that he will be writing the 6-page bonus Transformers Animated writes that will be attached in the bumper-sized October issue (#17) of Titan's Transformers book.
The story, unsurprisingly, focuses on the Dinobots.
It is still unknown when the book will be released, as Mr. Furman writes the first issue will hit shelves later this year.
