An evil Optimus Prime for the U.S.? Needs a little more detail painting and a better name but, why complain it is ceaper then buying the armada's ver. of Scourge on Ebay.

Why is Hasbro using drastically worse color schemes for some of these figures than their Japanese counterparts? I don't see any logic in it, especially since the television show has all of the characters modeled after the Japanese paint jobs. Really, what possible rationale could have ever led to having that tan color on the US Nemesis Prime??

I'm not sure the other black Prime on those shots is the Micron Legends Nemesis Prime. I remember that Remy, or someone he knows, bought a SuperCon Optimus Prime and painted themselves to look like RiD Scourge. At that point, Nemesis Prime had been unheard of, or at least we didn't know what he'd look like. That said, if the superior-looking Nemesis Prime is the Takara version, I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised. I just don't get why Hasbro are so keen to change figures. The biggest differences I can remember is the total colour change of Tidal Wave and the removal of his electronic features and the removal of Hot Shot's electronics. (For those of you who don't know, his right hand lit up on the Japanese version to represent the fact that he wielded the Star Saber for a time, despite the crappy job he did of it.) I'm sure Habbro has their reasons, but they better be bloody good ones!

HASBLOW blows chunks again! I agree with all the posts who question the rationale of changing the colour schemes. I have picked up the clear and black nemesis primes from Takara and I am happy for it. The North American Nemesis Prime is horrid! Not sure if we will be getting the Standard (clear one), but if we do HASBLOW will find a way to screw it up! Just give them the time and for them to look at their bottom line. THANK GOD FOR TAKARA!

Why must you always ruin perfectly awesome looking Characters in the show by giving thme god awful paint job, first it was Mr Lime Green Paintjob Tidal Wave, despite him being a really dark grey and purple colour in Japan and the cartoon, now you've ruin Nemesis Prime by giving him a tan?
and the reason you give is "Because we wanted too" weel guess what Hasbro it's not you that wants to buy your own toys, Horrible paint job do not sell toys, all they do is fill up shelf space and are never sold.
Get with it Hasbro, you're idea's for paint scheme's suck, I'm just glad that Aeon/Takara went over your head with the Demolisher Power Linx colours, he would've look horrible in Six Shot colours!

This is overly absurd.
Hasbro is saying they want to listen, but they can't they are now all buried in there money.
Greedy. Cheap. Out of good excuse for them to bring this figure at a worst possible scenario, especially with the colors are as bad as the company (HASBRO) who recolored it.
I wasn't expecting to hear nice words from everybody about this figure, but a bloody hell are they doing?!

Christ you people are idiots. The figure you're all calling "Takara" Nemesis Prime is the fan-made repaint of the original SuperCon Prime. Sorry to burst your ranting little bubbles, but there is no way a current toy, Takara or no, would have that many paint applications, especially in places where it would flake off.
FURTHERMORE the actual Nemesis Prime looks no different in these pics from the one we've been seeing at various trade shows all along.
FINALLY it's a nice repaint. I like the Scourge color scheme and it looks good on this toy. It's a shame to lose that nice grime on the grill from the original, but it's still a pretty bad-ass repaint. I will likely pick this one up. After all, it's only a Supercon, it's cheap.
Good GAWD. Take a chill pill and research the damn toys before you go spouting off about how much 'Hasblows'. It's getting really idiotic.

actually, i've seen the japanese exclusive repaint and it still looks better :), this is a repaint by a fan yes, but the hasbro one has crappy paintjob as usual these days.

Really, I applaud them bringing over some the JP styling to the USA. Sure we dont get the pick of them but it is something. Better half right than nothing.

I picked up mine today...at work at the Walmart in auburn washington..seems to be only one per case.
they only had 2 and they got 2 cases..so i'm just guessing.
He looks odd with the decepticon symbol..but cool.

I just got mine at a k-mart here in Fulton Ny.
I noticed a small difference in the one that is displayed on Remy's site. If you look on his shoulder, there are those tan colored spots right near the two screws. On mine, the tan color is the metallic color.

I am not sure about this version ... I thought that this is similar to the Powerlinx Optimus Prime Armada? The colours are the same anyway with that of the Powerlinx ... so how is this different
