Transformers Battle Tactics Officially Announced For iPhone and Android
RAC - Wednesday, December 10, 2014

Game Informer reports that DeNA Games has announced Transformers Battle Tactics, a free-to-play SD turn-based strategy game (think Super Robot Taisen/Wars) coming soon to both the iTunes App Store and Google Play! Character designs are based on the upcoming Combiner Wars comic series. Seeing as how the 3DS version of Rise of the Dark Spark was the only halfway decent version of that game, turn-based strategy may well be a good fit for our favorite robots. Keep reading to see the trailer! UPDATED with more information, screenshots, and pre-registration bonuses!
Battles are swift and require strategic decision-making to propel players to victory. Each Transformers character has unique stats and abilities, which shift as players convert them from robot to their alternate mode. The unique graphic style is inspired by the Transformers Generations Combiner Wars characters and comic book series. Transformers: Battle Tactics includes an expansive single-player campaign, story-driven in-game events and real-time player-vs-player (PvP) matches for players around the world to engage in strategic battles and rise to the top of the leaderboards

Pre-Registering at the official site adds to a Bonus Meter which will dictate what all preregistered players will get as a gift when the game launches early next year. You'll also have the chance to vote on receiving Trailcutter or Cliffjumper as a bonus character if the gauge reaches 500,000! Currently, Cliffjumper is unsurprisingly in the lead with about a 70-30 split.

The website Time & Space put up a gallery of images of an interesting new promotion for the AU x Transformers Infobar Optimus Prime figure: a cardboard sculpture of the toy! The intricately designed and assembled sculpture is the work of artist Monami Ohno, whose work in the medium of cardboard is very impressive indeed- even the logos and numbers on the phone parts are carefully-cut cardboard. Thanks to Kevin Liu we now have a very good look at Leader class Rodimus Prime, capping off the first wave of Power of The Primes. Kevin's video is of course in Chinese, but presented clearly enough to tell what's going on anyway. Most interestingly, we get side by sides with Titans Return Hot Rod, which shows the Hot Rod form of this toy to actually be a fair bit bigger. As Titans Return Hot Rod was already a bit big for a Deluxe, you can imagine the new one is surely pushing the boundaries of being comparable with Deluxes! The video as well as plenty of screencaps can all be found below - keep reading to see it all!
Through a Facebook video, we finally have a look at the retail version of POTP Rodimus Prime, the second toy in the first Leader assortment. Sadly the video itself is probably not worth watching, being both shot in vertical/portrait orientation and being quite low-res. You can find stills taken from the video highlighting key points for a quick look at the toy. We do have the video embedded just below as well, if you're dying to see the toy in action or get an early look at how some of the transformation works. Click through to check it all out!
NO TURNING BACK! Getaway has crossed one too many lines and made one too many enemies. Hunted down on his own ship, the master manipulator has one last trick of his sleeve -- something so shocking, so audacious, that it would put the most evil Decepticon to shame. No one is safe as the Mutineers Trilogy reaches its jaw-dropping climax. Expected in shops December 27, 2017. Keep reading to see the preview pages!
Elita One, Windblade, and Starscream fight to gain ultimate control of Cybertron! Dark secrets will be revealed in this series finale! Expected in shops December 20, 2017. Click through to read the preview!
