Bay Interview Reveals Transformers 2 Shooting Again

By bwbm on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 @ 08:33:05 AM

A recent Entertainment Weekly interview with "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" Director Michael Bay contains a little tidbit that the film has started shooting once again.

EW writes that the interview was conducted, "[d]uring a break on the set...described to us as a 'remote [Air Force] base' at an 'undisclosed location.'" The remote base most likely refers to Edwards Air Force Base, which we previously reported as a shooting location last week.

Roberto Orci further confirms that the film has started shooting again and maybe it never ended at all.

In a post of "Transformers" Producer Don Murphy's official message board, Mr. Orci writes, "we never stopped -- shooting been going on all week and last week."

The interview with Entertainment Weekly does not really reveal anything new. Mr. Bay reiterates that the film will be a stand-alone film.

His message to the writers were, "I hate sequels that try to make it to the third movie," he tells EW. "Pretend like we’re never having a third movie, so let’s go for broke on the second one. I hate those cliffhangers! Let’s just make this movie stand on its own," he told Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and Ehren Kruger. "I really feel this movie is not a forced sequel. I think the script is really good, and I think it’s got a lot of new stuff in it."

I though Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween blew the original away, so I'm interested to see what Hollywood has in store for Jason and Co.

Does Friday the 13th really need a remake? to Jason X. So bad it was good. Oh is that a new thing for Youtube (posting boobiez) or has it just not been flagged yet. Hilarious clip though.

As a Friday the 13th fan I can't wait! + = Freddy vs Jason really was the perfect conclusion to the Friday the 13th series (Jason X NEVER HAPPENED!). A reboot is welcome, and I can't wait to see what they do with it.
