BotCon 08 Shattered Glass Preview: Optimus Prime

The Transformers Collectors Club (TCC) has unveiled Optimus Prime, one of six figures part of the BotCon 2008 "Shattered Glass" convention set.

Transformers: Classics Optimus Prime sports a purple, black, and gold color scheme, and evil character in the TCC world. The rest of the "Shattered Glass" set includes Autobots Grimlock, Autobot Jazz, and Goldbug; and the good guys, Starscream and Minicon Razorclaw.

It's getting better. I really like this Goldbug, and maybe Prime is the only fugly one and they just showed it first to get it out of the way.

... man, for some reason, this set makes me miss G2. I really like Goldbug's mold. Think his head should be black, not blue, but I like that mold. Looks much better in Goldbug's colors than Hot Shot's. The purple with green highlights is hideous, I must say. Green with purple highlig... read more
