If they're hinting that the only way I can ever get a complete of the Classics seekers is by paying these jerkholes 329$...they can forget about it. I'd rather toss Skywarp, Starscream and Ramjet in the trash instead. Hell, for 329$ I could buy 30 Classics Starscreams and try my hand at painting them blindfolded -- odds are I'd get SOME of them right!
That's seriously some terrible BS there, Hasbro. Five figures, each questionably worth 10$ at most...and a sackful of other garbage no one cares about. What a deal!

I guess there's no hope now for getting the seekers at a reasonable price and its a big shame on par of hasbro, they could, at the very least give us thundercracker. And I think that ShadowStitch has a good point about making ourself the rest of the seakers by painting the classic mold of starscream or even ramjet. Maybe I will try to make my own thundercracker, I have no experience in painting TFs but I have nothing to loose by trying.

I don't understand why they cannot at least sell Dirge, Thurst, and Thundercracker on their friggin website for like $15. Hell, I'd be willing to go for $20 for those 3, but having to attend Botcon (which is something completely out of my price range, and way too far away from where I live) to get something like those, and have to pay a rediculous price for only 3 figures is complete bs. **** YOU HASBLOW!!!!

I will be attending Botcon, cuz I live in NY and Rhode Island is probably as close as it'll ever get. However, for $329 I'll just use that money to pay for my hotel stay, pay the convention admission and buy the original G1 seekers. I'll probably still have enough left over for a meal.

DrKain: With 300$ I can buy enough sculpey and casting resin to make a dozens of new wings. And I guarantee you, even if I don't, someone else will. We customizers are a clever and resourceful bunch...and where we fail, the HK bootleggers will persevere. Heerotoysmaker ring a bell?
Those Botcon prices are obscene, and as much as I like transformers, they are just TOYS, and while I can justify the occasional 10$ for a Classic, or maybe even 20$ for an Alternator, there's no way I am willing to waste that much money on a little hunk of plastic that turns into a different colored plane than the ones I have right now. It's ridiculous!

Kind of a no-brainer. Take $50 of figures, paint them up, and charge up to $330 for the 5 set. That adds up to about $65 a figure. A $55 markup.
Meanwhile, if Hasbro was REALLY about selling quality material and appealing to the masses, they could do this for the $50 and save a buttload of fan's money
Instead, they've let TFCC alienate the majority of fans with this outrageous markup and perhaps even lost a few fans. I know my continuance to support TF/Hasbro is seriously wavering right now.
In the end, it's all about the money. Hobbies do cost money, but not this much.

For $330.00 you can easily get all G1 Seekers in good condition and complete on various places online. You can also get a G1 complete Scorponok and another toy. Heck, you may even get a complete line of all Cybertron toys.
I thought about getting the exclusives. But I just can't justify paything that much for just repaints. If some people on the boards can make custom wings for Dirge and Thrust. Then I'll pick up several Ramjets and recolor this guy and order the custom wings.
News to people who can make custom wings for Classic Seekers: "IF you make them, people will pay money for them."
I am one of them. I would gladly pay money for custom wings if some people made them. If this works out..I may spend about 70 bucks for two Starscreams, two Ramjets, several custom made wings and new paint jobs. THEN I'll have my complete Classic Seekers.

Thousands of fans want these figures, only a few hundred will be made & half of those will go straight to Ebay scalpers that don't even care about them. This is indeed a very sad day for the Transformers fandom & collectors. TOTAL BS!
If everybody thought like me, Botcon exclusives would be history! Bring back the old days when all you had to do was cut robot points off your packages & send them in for an exclusive figure! Anybody remember Reflector,Camshaft, Overdrive & Downshift? Now THAT'S the correct way to handle exclusives!!!! What happened Hasbro? You did things right back in the 80's!
There are a few Japanese only exclusives that I want a whole lot more than a couple Classics repaints! They're easier to get & less expensive, I'll go for those! Piss on Botcon, the collectors club & mastercollector! They're screwing up this hobby.

I've also seen a lot of stuff coming from the Korean Markets. In fact, Takara has a branch in KOREA! They had a Playstation 2 that turns into a BATTLESTATION with the controller becoming a tank that runs on tracks...a TANK that runs on TRACKS!!! talk about originality and ingenuity.
For those who feel quality may be lacking, I personally have a Soundwave and Frenzy from the Korean market with the same amount of metal and quality as the original.
