BotCon 2009 - Transformers Collectors Club Comics Panel

By Ender on Friday, May 29, 2009

Friday at Botcon 09 opened with a lightly attended TCC comic/magazine panel, led by Fun Publication’s Brian Savage.

Upcoming features were the first order of business, a potential cover from Derrick Wyatt was mentioned as well as continuing Animated Tech Specs, three more 25th Anniversary articles by Carl Hartman, and more fiction recaps.

Upcoming tech specs will continue to focus on the “Shatterd’verse”, including a Computron, and a Shattered Quintesson called Aquarius, who was described as a "Super advanced space hippie." There was also a picture of the upcoming TCC comic villain Omega Doom, Omega Supreme’s evil (and perhaps talkative) twin.

Once the panel opened itself to questions, some the more interesting subjects included apparently unfiltered search for the name of the club combiner Nexus Maximus will yield NSFW results.

The giant Pink Elephant at the ‘con already reared its canceled head as one fan informed the panel that if an Animated Arcee was not forthcoming, “people would die”. Nice to see the fandom is maintaining its usual dignified composure about this.

A schedule note at the end revealed that Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtman will attend the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Q&A later today.
