Deflecting a Star Trek comment early on saying “Today is about Transformers.” To Great applause. Then the first question was about how Star Trek and Transformers differed...by the middle of the panel they gave up and were slinging Megatron Vs. The Enterprise jokes.
Moving on we were told that the lack of Transformers dialog in the first
Transformers installment had a lot to do with studio apprehension about robots talking at all, so the story had to be able not to depend on Transformers dialog.
Revenge of the Fallen apparently does not suffer from this handicap.
They expressed admiration for actor Shia Lebouf for both his difficult task of shooting an action movie with a genuine injury and his new found ability to make fun of Michael Bay.
Questions about the future appearance of Unicron got a response of “good chance”.

Transformers writers say that the
Scavenger/Demolisher name difference is "not accident." The film will also address the Matrix.
At their Botcon 09 Panel the writing team of Revenge of the Fallen was confronted with the disparate page and promotional names for the Constructicon Scavenger/Demolishor. They replied that they could not say and it would have to wait for the movie. They also responded to a question about the “Autobot Matrix of Leadership” with a weighted, “Good Question.”
TFormers staff who have had access to surrounding media from Revenge of the Fallen who have speculated that there are more than one of each Constructicon.
And spoilers from the Comic adaptation have confirmed that the Matrix will play a part in
Revenge of the Fallen.
