Do you sometimes get confused by how to distinguish one is the Transformers Hall of Fame inductees and the Fan's Choice?
Yeah, we do too.
So today, Karl Hartman, one of the co-creators of the original BotCon over 18 years ago, has announced that the Fan's Choice Award will not be in his and his brother's namesake.
"Aaron Archer...declared that the fan's choice award will now be called 'the Hartman Award', named for my brother Jon and my contributions to the Transformers fan community over the years," Mr. Hartman wrote in his Facebook page.
"We are certainly very honored and humbled by this recognition."
His full update is below.

Each year at the Hasbro Transformers Hall of Fame dinner during BotCon (the official Transformers convention), Transformers characters and the creative people behind the Transformers brand are inducted into the Transformers hall of fame. The fans are asked to vote each year for one character that they want to be inducted into the hall of fame, as a fan's choice.
This year, Aaron Archer, one of the vice presidents and creative directors at Hasbro, declared that the fan's choice award will now be called 'the Hartman Award', named for my brother Jon and my contributions to the Transformers fan community over the years, specifically the creation of BotCon 18 years ago in 1994. We are certainly very honored and humbled by this recognition. This is a picture of Aaron and myself taken at the Hasbro booth at BotCon this afternoon.
