The botcon 2012 convention toy theme this year is the SG universe verses the Classics universe.

I like the old school 1980's styled back of the TF box battle scene this thing has going for it. I'd love to see this return for TFP,Generations & movie-verse back of the toy boxes battle verses art scenes.

More Collectors Club News
The Transformers Collector's Club has posted the first part of a new prose story by Andrew Hall! Featuring the Shattered Glass Minibots and sporting illustrations by Hayato Sakamoto, "Spatiotemporal Challengers Part 1: Sunrise" is available at the Club's website in a bilingual English/Japanese PDF file. Keep reading to see the cover illustration and get a link to the download page!
They must have heard us talking about them, as The Club has just followed up their reveal of Thunder Mayhem with a decent look at Impactor, the Rook retool that joins the fourth subscription set. This is also set to come with Generations Arcee's assortment of weapons, and is demonstrated here using one of the swords in place of Impactor's traditional harpoon attachment. We were able to enlarge the image just enough to get a decent view of the details of the new head sculpt, so you'll find that image along with the mirrored original below.
The Collectors Club Twitter account has just released a first image showing the combined form of the Mayhem Attack Squad that make up TFSS 4. Thunder Mayhem features a new combiner head sculpt based distinctly on Thunderwing's appearance in the Marvel comics, and is armed with the giant swords from Transformers Go! Optimus Exprime. This photo also offers a first glimpse at the production sample for Impactor, though that toy's new head sculpt is not particularly visible. Click through to have a look.
Via Twitter, the Collectors Club has posted new photos of their near-final production samples of the Mayhem Attack Squad figures from the 4th TFSS group. The figures are now seen in their robot modes, and in Bludgeon's case, includes a close up of the newly sculpted head. We also learn that the included Matrix accessory is being called the Matrix of Malice, and will come with Windsweeper. Presumably we'll finally be getting to see the combined mode sometime soon as well. Meanwhile, click through and have a look at the figures.
Over on Facebook, the Transformers Collectors Club has shared a photo showing a production sample group from the fourth Figure Subscription Service. Seen here in vehicle mode are the Mayhem Attack Squad in what is probably at least close to final decos. Of course Impactor is not pictured with this group, and there is the secret "bonus" figure which will go unseen until the end of the shipping cycle for this set. With production samples now, it looks like these toys could start shipping earlier than in past years. Keep reading to see the mirrored photo.
