BotCon 2012 - Wheeljack Is 2012 Fans Choice for Transformers Hall of Fame; Shockwave to Appear in Prime Series
John DeLuna - Saturday, April 28, 2012
Just in from the Transformers BotCon 2012 is news from the Hall of Fame event in Dallas, Texas. It should be no surprise really that Wheeljack has been voted by the fans into the 2012 Transformers Hall of Fame
We would like to congratulate Wheeljack on the distinction that is long overdue.
It was also announced that Shockwave will be in Transformers Prime.
At the end of his induction video during the Hall of Fame ceremony, a clip from the series was included where he was being introduced to the Autobots in the show (could this be the character David Kaye will be voicing in a "special" two-part arc?).

I'm good with Wheeljack, he did deserve a place in the Hall of Fame, as with many nominees.
This isn't America, it's BotCon
I voted exactly one time. And that was on the day it was announced.
I believe that BW Megs won, but Hasbro's like, "We cannot let this happen!"
it's a Hall of Fame for FICTIONAL CHARACTERS.
Honestly.... Their is no way to prove the following: 1- If Hasbro/TFCC makes fans waste their time on the internet Voting for the Hall of fame. then Hasbro/TFCC turns around doesn't use any of the votes. and Hasbro/TFCC selects a Hall of Fame based off who they think should win. 2- In the no... read more
Woo Hoo! Democracy in action!
I was hoping Rodimus Prime would win Hall Of Fame this year.
Good news for all you Texas residents!! We will be hosting our very own Robot / Sci Fi themed convention here in San Antonio, TX!!
We're hosting a bot themed convention set for 7 - 8 May 2016. From the folks that organized Alamo City Comic Convention (ACCC), we are holding a robot themed convention dubbed, Cyber City Con (CCC) here in the heart of Texas. .
The TFWiki has tweeted an image and link to a new trademark filing with the US Patent Office. The trademark? "HasCon" - which of course would be a useful name for a convention dedicated to all Hasbro products, not just Transformers. The trademark was filed just 6 days ago, right after BotCon, which also amounts to some interesting timing? What does it all mean, and does this mean that the CybertronCon name is no longer in consideration? No way to tell yet, but keep reading to see the details of the filing.
While at Botcon we naturally spent as much time as we could spare down at the Hasbro booth to see all the fantastic new and upcoming toys to look forward to. Besides snapping hundreds of photos of all the displays over the course of the weekend, we did a set of display case overview videos as well. The displays were split in two groups, one featuring Titans Return and Platinum, the other Robots in Disguise and licensed merchandise, with Combiner Wars crossing between both. We've split the videos accordingly, and you can watch both embedded below right now!
This week on Radio Free Cybertron: We all have the convention crud, except for Brian. Those of who can chat about the week's news, the toys we purchased, our favorite panels, our favorite memories and all the awesome people we got to meet at the LAST Botcon! Oh, we also talk about Masterpiece Shockwave, Masterpiece Ramjet, Computron, Liokaiser and tons more!
We were on hand for "BotCon Over The Years," the last panel of the last BotCon! Pete Sinclair led the presentation, reminiscing through his personal collection of BotCon photos and asking fans to share their own stories about the 22-year history of the social core of the Transformers fandom as it came to a close. Keep reading for details! UPDATED with some more details provided by longtime BotCon attendee Tim Finn!
