BotCon 2013 - Machines Of War Strika Alternate Tank Mode Image Revealed

By Jack on Tuesday, February 19, 2013

The Official Collctors' Club has posted a new image of Strika from the "Machines of War" Botcon Box-sets. Apparently this year's "Machines" theme applies to either, "Beast" "or "Wars". This season Strika will be sporting a new coat of paint and a freshly molded head on a Classics Warpath chassis. (Lets face it, she was always kinda butch.) Could, perhaps, a new Obsidian be hovering, morally ambiguously, in our convention going future?

We are dedicated to being to be the best resource for all your Transformers news and reviews every day. Keep your browser dialed to Tformers.com for updates as they happen.

More Collectors Club News
With roughly a week to go before the order period for the fourth figure subscription closes, the Transformers Collector's Club is following through on its promise to get current renders of the remaining figures out to their customers and potential customers. Today's entry is Bludgeon, the core of the Mayhem Attack Squad combiner(and a remold of Onslaught, the as yet unreleased remold of Combiner Wars Hot Spot). Furthermore, a new gestalt head is promised - which presumably we'll see in the upcoming render of the combined form. Read on to see Bludgeon!
On Wednesday, September 2nd, the order period for TFSS round 4 will close, making this the final week to get in on the Mayhem Attack Squad combiner set. With so little time remaining, Fun Publications will be rushing the last three revised mockup reveals out starting at the end of the week, covering Bludgeon, the combined form, and Impactor. Meanwhile this week they've already published a new mockup for Windsweeper, which we've got mirrored, so click through and have a look!
New images of Subscription Service Spinister surfaced today, and small tweaks are in evidence compared to the previous render. Autobase Aichi was kind enough as to provide a comparison image so you can see the changes: the largest change is that all the black paint on the figure is gone, but this also resulted in more accurate teal windows/toes for this reuse of the Combiner Wars Alpha Bravo mold. Of course, as this is still just Photoshop work, the final product is very much subject to change as happens regularly. Click through to see the photos!
The Collectors Club has released a new mockup image today of Ruckus, the recolor of Offroad that will make up part of the fourth Figure Subscription Service assortment. This latest revised image brings the concept to a closer representation of the toy's parts layout and intended deco versus what we've been shown previously. It has clearly been challenging to reconcile the desired robot mode deco with how the vehicle comes together, but such are the difficulties of mapping an existing toy's colors on to a newer, unrelated body! Keep reading to check out the image.
Once again chuckdawg1999 has stopped by the forums to let us know about a new video review. This time he's looking at Serpent O.R. from the Club's third Subscription Service batch. This figure joins the ranks of both retail and other exclusive Transformers/GI Joe crossovers that have come up in surprising numbers this year. Click through to check out the embedded video and see how this recolor of Generations Scourge turned out!
