We've expected it since day one, and finally we have evidence that we're going there. Art clearly depicting a G2-colored Superion has appeared as a display poster at a currently unknown event. Very much looking like the style of a blown up package design, it appears that by whatever means we see G2 Superion released, it will be in giftset packaging - also coming as little surprise. This appeared in the background of a shot from Weibo user Starscream韋, and we've highlighted the relevant parts, including a peek at G2 Air Raid. Click through and have a look!
Thanks to forums member gema who's dropped by with a pictorial review of the Combiner Wars Protectobots Pictorial Review Transformers team figures. Get a look at the next gestalt to hit the toy aisles with all the figures shown in robot, alternate and combined modes.
TFYuki's latest object of affection may well be the Unite Warriors Superion, a new photo of which he's tweeted this evening (or afternoon, relative to JST). The photo which shows production color samples of the five toys has the team in mid-process of forming up to Superion, but oddly gives a really good look at the individual decos this way. It's quite distinct from the Hasbro Combiner Wars instances, but still carries a few of their unique traits. Click through and have a look.
Golden Week, Japan's week-long holiday is currently underway, but it seems that TakaraTomy's Hisahi Yuki is choosing to observe the time a little differently. Celebrating "Green Week", he's spent the early hours of his Monday tweeting shots of green figures such as the Energon Constructicons, as a lead to what he really wants to show: The first silhouetted teaser for Combiner Wars Devastator, stamped with a big Coming Soon. A Unite Warriors Devastator should be no surprise at all, and until it can be shown in full, all we really have to wonder is, what will be different?
Coming on May 22nd along with Quickslinger, Brake-Neck, the trademark-renamed Wildrider is a redeco and head retool of Dead End. Returning to reclaim his spot from the similarly decoed Offroad, how does the figure hold up? And how does it do for completing Menasor? We have a review in video, as well as text and photos.
