Transformers Botcon 2014 Convention Taken Hostage By Pirates?

By BaCon on Monday, January 06, 2014

Ahoy Matey! Shiver me Timbers! TFW Member D-Drive shared an image from the Transformers Timelines #8: Termination comic that reveals BotCon 2014 may be sporting a Pirates theme this year. The gang over at FunPub like to get creative with their ideas and this one is a bit off the charts, as usual. It will remain to be seen how they configure Cybertron Canonball and the many other molds and color schemes to outfit their BotCon Armada that will be coming to Pasedena, CA June 19-22, 2014.ARGHhhhh!
They sailed across the inky-black where the heavens can't be found No light could show, no wind could blow, no soul could make a sound Yet each mech aboard, garbed for war, holding a cutlass or a gun and from the spotter above came the sign - We found Cybertron!

We are dedicated to being to be the best resource for all your Transformers news and reviews every day. Keep your browser dialed to Tformers.com for updates as they happen.

With all of the good molds this past year, I'm worried they'll be used for BotCon and I'll want to buy a set.

What actual line would a Pirates theme be from then? I got the MachineWars from last year...I don't recognize the Symbol on the flag.... :tfevil   Beast Wars II had Space Pirate Seacons.

Thanks to Radio Free Cybertron's Melllvarr, we've got our first look at the next figure shipping from TFSS 3. Coming to subscriber mailboxes is Tarantulas, using the Generations Junkion mold and accompanied by a pair of Arms Microns. Alas, Melllvarr's copy of the figure, among the first to be shown in hand, features a prominent QC defect in missing one of the chest guns, so remember to always inspect carefully each figure you receive! We've got two photos, so click through and take a look.
Yesterday the Transformers Collectors Club unveiled Subscription Service 4.0 figure Bludgeon. Today, we have the reveal of their final INDIVIDUAL figure reveal, IMPACTOR with bonus weapons pack. However, that doesn’t mean TFSS 4.0 is done yet! Tomorrow we will see a reveal of the COMBINED mode of the Mayhem Attack Squad! And we have a couple last minute art reveals on their way as well! Read on for more details on Subscription Service 4.0.
With roughly a week to go before the order period for the fourth figure subscription closes, the Transformers Collector's Club is following through on its promise to get current renders of the remaining figures out to their customers and potential customers. Today's entry is Bludgeon, the core of the Mayhem Attack Squad combiner(and a remold of Onslaught, the as yet unreleased remold of Combiner Wars Hot Spot). Furthermore, a new gestalt head is promised - which presumably we'll see in the upcoming render of the combined form. Read on to see Bludgeon!
On Wednesday, September 2nd, the order period for TFSS round 4 will close, making this the final week to get in on the Mayhem Attack Squad combiner set. With so little time remaining, Fun Publications will be rushing the last three revised mockup reveals out starting at the end of the week, covering Bludgeon, the combined form, and Impactor. Meanwhile this week they've already published a new mockup for Windsweeper, which we've got mirrored, so click through and have a look!
New images of Subscription Service Spinister surfaced today, and small tweaks are in evidence compared to the previous render. Autobase Aichi was kind enough as to provide a comparison image so you can see the changes: the largest change is that all the black paint on the figure is gone, but this also resulted in more accurate teal windows/toes for this reuse of the Combiner Wars Alpha Bravo mold. Of course, as this is still just Photoshop work, the final product is very much subject to change as happens regularly. Click through to see the photos!
