Transformers Botcon 2014 Convention Taken Hostage By Pirates?

By BaCon on Monday, January 06, 2014

Ahoy Matey! Shiver me Timbers! TFW Member D-Drive shared an image from the Transformers Timelines #8: Termination comic that reveals BotCon 2014 may be sporting a Pirates theme this year. The gang over at FunPub like to get creative with their ideas and this one is a bit off the charts, as usual. It will remain to be seen how they configure Cybertron Canonball and the many other molds and color schemes to outfit their BotCon Armada that will be coming to Pasedena, CA June 19-22, 2014.ARGHhhhh!
They sailed across the inky-black where the heavens can't be found No light could show, no wind could blow, no soul could make a sound Yet each mech aboard, garbed for war, holding a cutlass or a gun and from the spotter above came the sign - We found Cybertron!

We are dedicated to being to be the best resource for all your Transformers news and reviews every day. Keep your browser dialed to Tformers.com for updates as they happen.

With all of the good molds this past year, I'm worried they'll be used for BotCon and I'll want to buy a set.

In an e-mail to registered subscribers and a general announcement via Facebook, the Collectors Club has revealed that the first figure from TFSS 3 is planned to start shipping at the end of next week (on or around May 15). While its identity is as ever a secret until it arrives in the mailbox of one of the couple of Texas-based subscribers that weekend, it won't be long now before these figures start arriving. And for those non-subscribers, secondary retailers ought to be stocking soon too! Click through for the full announcement.
The official Transformers: BotCon have tweeted a note about their 2015 Transformers Club Exclusive NOVA PRIME figure now availbe on thier store at $59 USD. We are assuming the figure is shipping now, as it is listed as "Status: Available." You can find more details about the Nova Prime and how to order at the official order page at toyarama.com
The Facebook page DT Learns To Shoot has posted in-hand images of the upcoming Collector's Club Subscription Service 3.0 LioConvoy figure! Previously referenced in the US toyline as Leo Prime, the Japanese Beast Wars character is now a remold of Generations Orion Pax. Keep reading to see!
Lost-Zz on Weibo has posted images of the upcoming Subscription Service 3.0 Tarantulas! Based on the Reveal The Shield Wreck-Gar/Generations Junkheap mold, this image set is from the same source as yesterday's General Optimus Prime photos - further suggesting that figure will be a BotCon piece. Keep reading to see some blindingly purple photos of Tarantulas!
Thanks to Weibo user Lost-Zzl we have a possible spoiler images from this year's BotCon 2015 of what appears to be a cammo-repaint of the Generations Roadbuster mold. This is rumored to a General Optimus Prime figure based on the unpronounced G2 Optimus Prime auto-roller toy. We are still a couple months out from BotCon in June, so there is no telling what may appear yet. Keep in mind, this is unconfirmed at this time. Read on to see the images until we know more.
