Chris Morada's Awesome Cliffjumper Custom

By BaCon on Sunday, March 09, 2008

Hello folks and welcome! Another day, another wicked custom by the one and only Chris Morada.... What I have for you this week is a custom Cliff Jumper (2009 Camaro). I didn't exactly like the new Allspark Cliff Jumper figure, so instead I decided to scupture his head (to give it that old school transformers look) from scratch with the use of Apoxie Sculpture Clay which is commonly used by other customizers because of it's durability. Then painted him with several layers of Testors acrylic model paint. This action figure can be posed and handled, just don't hand this action figure to a child or pet or else... Before I forget Cliff Jumpers eyes are blue, you just cant tell because of the lighting, but yes they are light blue.

Bid on Chris's incredible custom figure now listed on eBay!

As much as I'm against anything non G1 & anti-Bay, if this version of cliffjumper were to show up in TF2, I think it's a fair compromise. It beautifully links the old with the new in a tasteful & respectful manner. Love the paint apps, btw!!

Just beautiful in my opinion. Also, nice touch with the head sculpt.

Just thought of something... How much work would it be to pull the roof off his arms and either put it somewhere else? or combine it to make a single shield? <runs off to try it>

Shiny... red... awesome! Hrms... might "mistransform" my Allspark Cliffjumper like that, just to differentiate him from Bumbles...

I think all he did was not push them in. When you transform him you you push his wing in so his shoulders are more broad. not doing this makes his wins look different. He also slide them Down just a little. I also agree it makes him cooler. I'ma Rebel. Watcha Gunna Do?

Even though I like it as is, a double white racing stripe down the middle would look so kick ass on this.

More Age of Extinction News
Thanks to an article by william-james88 of Seibertron, we have scans of a photo shoot from the September issue of Elle Italia, the Italian version of the long-running fashion magazine. In the photos, model Josephine Skriver is shown shopping on New York's Fifth Avenue with her boyfriend from space - who is none other than the movie version of Optimus Prime! Keep reading to see the photos.
Olivus Prime of the TFW2005 Forums was able to sit down with Mark Ryan recently and talk Transformers movies. Ryan is the voice behind Revenge of the Fallen's Jetfire and Age of Extinction's Lockdown, and spoke of his inspiration for Jetfire, the amount of his own acting that was put into Lockdown... and perhaps most interestingly, a hint at the direction of Transformers 5 and the Transformers Cinematic Universe at large. Read on to see what he had to say!
Get your views in on the Transformers movies listed on Netflix as they will be removed from the listing at the end of September. Transformers: Age of Extinction and a number of other films such as the Hunger Games, World War Z that are part of the Epix distribution deal, have not been renewed at this time. We've been here before, where the deal was done only to be re-done at the zero-hour. Read on to see the quote from Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer at Netflix.
Empire Online has posted a ranking of the 100 greatest characters to feature in a movie, as selected by their readership. And Optimus Prime managed to make the list! Just barely avoiding falling in to dead last place, Optimus Prime ranks 98 out of 100. We're not entirely sure on what criteria people made their choices, but the bullet points on Empire's list might have you believe it's due to Optimus riding a dinosaur. We can but wonder if he wouldn't have ranked higher had he not murdered Frasier a short time later. Click through to get a link to the full list.
Following the long slow run up to Transformers 5 and the Cinematic Universe. We have some new insights from Daredevil writer Steven Dekinght. He's been part of the writers room sessions and gives us his take how things are unfolding. Paramount are "pulling all the stops" including a visit from Steven Spielberg himself. While no word on what the new Transformers 5 movie being worked on now by Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner, we do get a sense the new blood may actually produce a movie a story in it. Read on for more.
