Classics Grimlock Repaint Coming Our Way?

Thanks again to Taobao.com we have a pic of what looks like may be a repaint of Classics Grimlock. We're not sure what this is considering the colors it could be a proto, predacon or maybe even Galvatron? Anywho, take a look at the pic and post your best guess here.

Unfortunately, while I REALLY hope it's just a prototype, they'll probably name it Trypticon. Even if they named it after a Predacon or Terrorcon, I would be really disappointed. There has been a serious lack of a true city/base-mode TF in the recent lines (Metroplex obviously doesn't make for one, and I personally think Primus doesn't suffice), and there are some combiner groups (in particular the Predacons) that deserve an update. Wishful thinking, though.. |

i think its a prototype. if this was a repaint then hasbro would most definatly call it trypticon and in that cas, wouldnt make it to my shelf. |

I say it's a prototype or a new character.
Perhaps something akin to Nemesis Prime.
Or perhaps a representation of Beast Wars Megatron.
Or both.
I could see it having a bio that suggests that Megatron replicated Grimlock's body and infused it with his own dark spark, creating the first of a new breed of Predacons or something. |

Now i'm not saying it wouldn't be cool to see Galvatron as a T-Rex, I just don't think it'd happen. |

A Trypticon, silver claws, darker purple, and gold or orange eyes. Not sure but is that a small Decepticon insignia on his gray gun connector on his back. I could see so many possibilities with this figure, so I'm going to go with prototype. If it isn't a proto, I kind of wish they would hold off on the name and make a T-Rex sized figure like the Cybertron Metroplex. Those two would look awesome on display battling each other. Well, there's my 2 cents. |
