Colored Looks at Transformers Masterpiece MP-12 Lambor Show All the Awesome; Amazon To Include Additional Pile Drivers

By puma on Wednesday, June 13, 2012

At this rate, Takara Tomy may not have anything left to reveal at this weekend's Toyko Toy Show. Japanese retailer e-Hobby has posted the product page for the company's Transformers Masterpiece MP-12 Lambor (Sideswipe) and Amazon Japan has revealed their exclusive.

The figure is exactly like you would expect the Generation 1 homage and appears to be in-scale with Transformers MP-10 Convoy and is able to hitch a ride in the trailer.

The figure is set for an October 2012 release for 5800 Yen (~$73 USD).

Amazon Japan is also offering exclusive pile drivers that can be attached to the figure's hands in robot mode (see image below). A set will come with each purchase of MP-12 Lambor from Amazon, which is currently taking pre-orders for 5098 Yen (~$64 USD).

This mold will be reused for MP-14 Red Alert, which is set to be officially announced by Takara at Tokyo Toy Show this weekend.

Next up in Takara’s amazing Masterpiece Series is the MP-25 Tracks! He transforms from Chevrolet Corvette to a great looking screen accurate robot. Both figure and vehicle are in scale with the rest of the Autobot cars and other Masterpiece figures. MP-25 Tracks is listed for $79.99. Pre-order it now at bigbadtoystore.com
Dengeki Hobby has also posted extensive official photography of MP-24 Star Saber, detailing nearly every facet of the much-hyped figure's gimmicks and features. Keep reading to see!
TAGHobby has posted a scan from Dengeki Hobby Magazine of the much-hyped and photographed Star Saber as well as a new, clearer image of MP-25 Tracks! Tracks is looking better in this image than in the first one, better proportioned and more Tracksish. Keep reading to see!
With the Valentine Girls out of the way, Hisashi Yuki returns to his favorite Twitter muse, MP-24 Masterpiece Star Saber! This time it's a closeup, and it does sport a really nice, if somewhat surly headsculpt. Also included is a recent image of the figure in V-Star mode. Keep reading to see!
After a good bit of speculation and rumor, we finally can say with certainty that Tracks will be joining the ranks of Masterpiece Autobot cars. A scan from a newly released hobby magazine in Japan shows the grey prototype depicting both primary modes of Tracks. Given the robot's wings the third flying-car mode is sure to be in there as well. This mold has at least a second use ahead of it as Road Rage, based on the red Diaclone incarnation of the original Tracks toy, and perhaps even more. We're sure to see a lot more of this soon, but for now check out the scan by clicking through.
