Colored Looks at Transformers Masterpiece MP-12 Lambor Show All the Awesome; Amazon To Include Additional Pile Drivers

By puma on Wednesday, June 13, 2012

At this rate, Takara Tomy may not have anything left to reveal at this weekend's Toyko Toy Show. Japanese retailer e-Hobby has posted the product page for the company's Transformers Masterpiece MP-12 Lambor (Sideswipe) and Amazon Japan has revealed their exclusive.

The figure is exactly like you would expect the Generation 1 homage and appears to be in-scale with Transformers MP-10 Convoy and is able to hitch a ride in the trailer.

The figure is set for an October 2012 release for 5800 Yen (~$73 USD).

Amazon Japan is also offering exclusive pile drivers that can be attached to the figure's hands in robot mode (see image below). A set will come with each purchase of MP-12 Lambor from Amazon, which is currently taking pre-orders for 5098 Yen (~$64 USD).

This mold will be reused for MP-14 Red Alert, which is set to be officially announced by Takara at Tokyo Toy Show this weekend.

Stay tuned to Tformers.com for more details as they are made available. Your best resource for all the Transformers news and community every day.

I found another pic of the weapons storing on the vehicle mode when i looked on Amazon.jp I want to order all the figures from them as the Sideswipe comes with piledrivers and Soundwave comes with Energon cubes! I am looking forward to these guys. Will these guys have real rubber tires? I know i... read more

Sideswipe is going to be the same basic size as an Alternity, so tall Deluxe, small Voyager( based on pre-DOTM sizes, not the current sizes) Soundwave is the one I'm waiting on for size comparison's, he's either gonna be the same height as MP-10, or just a tad shorter, around the same h... read more

I will ask the question that no one has....I hope that all the weapons fit on the figure in Alt mode....would kind of suck if they at this point couldn't be stored on the figure....I want to see what he looks like next to Alt / BT and the MP01 figure as well. I am guessing he's going to be a... read more

My Universe 2.0 Sideswipe is good enough.

are we looking at the same figure???? These guys are being done in proper scale with each other. Since Takara reset the scale with MP-10, Lambor had to shrink down too. Since the figures shrink, so did the prices. The MP line are supposed to be more Anime accurate. Hell, he even looks like the DW S... read more

I'm a bit dissapointed with Sideswipe. It does not look like what I have grown to expect what a MP to be. He's small and a blocky. I was wondering why the price was so low and then we saw the prototype image. My honost first reaction was that that could not be a MP! The price may be... read more

i don't think all the other cassettes were confirmed to be released in the same box as Soundwave.... Why wouldn't Takara do the same things as they did in the 80's??? Pack 1 cassette with the figure, and then release 2 packs. That model worked back in the 80's, why the hell not no... read more
