Combiner Wars Devastator, Protectobots, G1 Reissues and Robots in Disguise Details From Nuremberg Toy Fair

While security has reportedly increased around the Hasbro exhibit at the Toy Fair event taking place in Germany this week following the leaked partial images of Devastator, we've been fortunate enough to receive first-hand reports from a person who attended the show. The information was spread over multiple posts and pages of a TFW thread, so we've collected and condensed it for quick reading. Click through and check it out!

Devastator has six Constructicons which all have individual robot modes. Reported as being "nearly the same height as Metroplex" (our investigation suggests this judgement to be not entirely accurate). A representative at the show stated Devastator would be Toys R Us exclusive, but the packaging did not have any indication of that. If so, being an event in Germany it may only mean exclusive status for locations in Europe. Devastator's "official" reveal is set to happen at New York Toy Fair. Devastator is reported as looking very G1, but the Constructicons themselves were described as seeming "upscaled", which was then clarified to mean they appeared to look around Deluxe-level in complexity as the individual robots forms reminded the reporter of TFC's Hercules team and they appeared to have "normal" articulation". Devastator is also noted as having its own unique type of connection ports.

Two of the Protectobots were seen. Streetwise was described as resembling Beast Hunters Prowl, leaving the mold status inconclusive for the moment. One other was seen that initially was reported as First Aid but with subsequent details compared to information previously revealed it seems that it may instead be Rook. It's said to be a new mold that looks like it would be good as an Ironhide recolor and in general design style seemed like a cross between Animated Ratchet and Universe Ironhide.

Platinum G1 sets were on display, including the Astrotrain/Blitzwing two pack with a red Blitzwing and white and orange Astrotrain. Also seen was Perceptor and Blaster which looked unchanged apart from Perceptor having a new accessory that looks like a missile launcher.

A larger version of Robots in Disguise Drift was on display with a Mini-Con launching gimmick, representing the new Deployer pricepoint.

Finally the reporter stated that Combiner Wars is due to last more than one year, and said that a Computron would be happening. We presume this information may be based off of statements from the representatives on site, but should be considered "possible" rather than definite until more official verification of these facts can be had.

Our thanks to "Marvelous" for all of the information from Nuremberg Toy Fair the was collected in to this post!
