ORIGINAL POST
Fans, rejoice! The Transformers The Japanese Collection has been (re)set for a release date of January 10, 2012!

The online store for Shout! Factory has re-listed the gargantual 13-DVD set with the Headmasters, Super-God Masterforce, and Victory series for $89.99 plus shipping and handling that includes a bonus lithograph of Headmaster leader Fortress Maximus.

While this is quite exciting news, the studio has delayed the set before.

The set was originally scheduled for a July release, back the set was delayed by production issues for "8-10 weeks" with pre-orders cancelled back in June.

The Heart strings were tug at again when an inaccurate December 2011 release date was printed in a Shout! Factory release catalog, but DVD Producer Brian Ward shot that down as well.

We have reached out to Shout! Producer Brian Ward for further comment on the new release date and we will let you know if and when we hear anything back.

Until then, finger-crossing is always recommended.

Headmaster Fortress Maximus is the bonus lithograph included in the 13 DVD set
